Victory in Tucson! 🏆Congratulations to Stephen and the FMMA Striking Team on winning Gold🥇last night Rise of the Prospects Tucson! 🥊
The final was a close match against a great competitor, but fortunately Stephen was able to win a split decision.
This comes after months of preparation with the team. Skill development, conditioning, sparring, diet, more sparring and of course mental preparation all played huge roles in this victory.
Shout out to our striking Coaches, Matt, Na’im and Anthony for all of the extra time they spent helping Stephen prepare. With great coaches like them in your corner, anything is possible. We’d also like to thank all of our striking students that participated in the fight camp.
Combat Sports are impossible to do alone, so every round we get help from our teammates is truly a blessing. As Professor Rob Handley always says, “Together we can do great things” 👊 🌊 🙏

Another great weekend for the FMA Crew at the Jiu Jitsu World League Tournament!
Medals are awesome, but competition is about so much more than standing on the podium. The discipline it takes to prepare, make weight, battle nerves, trust your training, and stick to a game plan creates growth that’s hard to find anywhere else. Win or lose, every competitor came away stronger.
A huge thank you to Emily, Matt, Patty, and Esteban for showing up to coach and support the team. Your dedication, guidance, and willingness to invest your time in others does not go unnoticed. We’re grateful to have you in our corner.
Proud of everyone who stepped on the mats this weekend. Show the squad some love! 👏❤️

🎓 Congratulations, 🎓
Every once in a while, someone comes through your academy who leaves a mark on everyone they meet. Chloe is one of those people.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of watching Chloe grow as a student, competitor, coach, employee, artist, leader, and most importantly, as a person. No matter what challenge is in front of her, she attacks it with determination, humility, and a level of maturity well beyond her years.
I’ve watched her represent our academy on the competition mats, serve her school through student council, develop her talents as an artist, and spend countless hours helping coach and mentor younger students. Whether she’s teaching a class, helping a teammate, creating something incredible, or simply making someone laugh, Chloe has a way of making every environment better.
What makes Chloe special isn’t just her long list of accomplishments—it’s the way she treats people. She is the kind of person every coach hopes to have in their academy and every community is fortunate to have as a member. She leads by example, works hard without seeking recognition, and genuinely cares about the people around her.
As an academy owner, moments like this are incredibly rewarding. We get to see young people walk through our doors as kids and eventually grow into amazing adults. Watching Chloe’s journey has been one of those rewards.
Chloe, thank you for everything you’ve brought to Fluid Martial Arts over the years. Thank you for being a great teammate, a great coach, a great employee, and a great friend to so many people. We are blessed to have been part of your journey, and I am beyond excited to see where life takes you next.
I have no doubt that whatever path you choose, you’ll continue to inspire others and accomplish incredible things.
Congratulations on your graduation. The future is bright, and you’ve earned every bit of what’s ahead.
And because it needs to be said…
Chloe f-ing ROCKS!!!!! ❤️🤘🌊 👊

Home Sweet Home! Man I love my home gym.
I love coming back to my home gym with Professor and the team that helped shape me from the beginning of my jiu-jitsu journey. This academy is where I learned not just jiu-jitsu, but discipline, resilience, and what it truly means to be part of something bigger than yourself. The lessons I’ve learned here continue to influence how I train, how I teach, and how I lead at Fluid Martial Arts.
Every time I step back on these mats, I’m reminded of the foundation that was built here — the standards, the culture, and the belief in constant growth. So much of what we’re building at Fluid Martial Arts comes from the values that were instilled in me on these mats.
While there are many people missing from this picture, I want you all to know how much I appreciate the love and support you showed me this weekend. Whether you were on the mats, cheering from the sidelines, or sending messages, it meant more than you know.
Grateful for my professor and his family. Grateful for my teammates. Grateful for the journey — and proud to carry these lessons forward.
