COME JOIN JAY PAGES JIU-JITSU & MMA!
THE BEST NOGI TEAM IN ARIZONA!
Here’s something nobody talks about because everyone does it…
A lot of black belts and coaches sell you on what THEY accomplished as competitors!
The medals they won!
The titles they earned!
The tournaments they conquered!
And while that’s impressive…
Great competitors don’t automatically become great coaches!
In fact, some of the worst coaches I’ve ever seen were incredible competitors!
Being able to perform at a high level and being able to develop others into high-level athletes are two completely different skills!
That’s why this isn’t about my accomplishments as a competitor!
It’s about what I’ve accomplished as a coach!
Because at the end of the day, you’re not hiring me to compete…
You’re hiring me to help YOU compete!
We’ve developed:
🏆 14 World Champions!
🏆 23 American National Champions!
🏆 2 Pan American Champions!
🏆 114 State Champions!
🏆 161 Team Titles!
Our athletes have competed on some of the biggest stages in the world!
EBI!
PGF!
UFC!
WNO!
Bellator!
LFA!
UFL!
That’s not marketing!
That’s proof!
This is where most people stop reading!
Because this isn’t for them!
This is for the athletes who want more!
The ones who train when they’re tired!
The ones who train when they’re busy!
The ones who keep showing up when everyone else quits!
We’re not building hobbyists!
We’re building competitors!
We’re building champions!
Blue Belt and above!
Exceptions made only for serious White Belts!
Not interested! Committed!
And somehow…
Competitor Membership is still only $55 per month!
No contracts!
No gimmicks!
No excuses!
You don’t join this team!
You earn your place on it!
Show up!
Train hard!
Compete often!
Represent the team!
If you’re looking for comfort, keep scrolling!
If you’re looking for challenge, accountability, growth, and a room full of athletes chasing greatness…

2026 IBJJF Masters Worlds! 🌎🥋
Stepping onto the biggest stage in Jiu-Jitsu was an experience I’ll never forget. Every moment—from preparing on the sidelines to battling on the mats—is another part of the journey.
A huge thank you to my cousin and YJJS BRAND® | technical jiujitsu apparel co-owner romen. for capturing these incredible pictures! I truly appreciate you documenting the intensity, emotion, and memories from an unforgettable weekend.
The result is temporary. The experience, lessons, and memories stay with you forever. Back to work—we’re just getting started!

WHAT’S JAY DOING? 🔥
Labor Day started with a 60-minute burpee AMRAP!
Seven different variations!
🔥 Regular Burpees!
🔥 Prison Burpees!
🔥 Tyson Burpees!
🔥 Navy Burpees!
🔥 Everything Burpees!
🔥 Animal Flow Front Kick Burpees!
🔥 Animal Flow Side Kick Burpees!
Final score: 365 reps!
This was more than a burpee workout!
It challenged conditioning, muscular endurance, coordination, ground-to-standing efficiency, and the ability to keep producing under fatigue!
Tonight there is no training—the gym is closed for the Labor Day holiday!
The work was completed early!
The recovery was earned!
Score recorded!
DUES PAID! 💪

Let’s stop pretending sandbagging is strategy.
If you knowingly compete beneath your actual level because you want an easier medal, you are not proving that you are a champion—you are proving that you are afraid of an honest test.
And if you are the coach arranging it, delaying promotions, manipulating eligibility, hunting weak brackets, and celebrating manufactured dominance, you should be embarrassed.
What exactly are you proud of?
Beating athletes your competitor has already outgrown? Protecting a record from real resistance? Coaching someone to score first, stall, hide, and survive the clock? Building an image that collapses the moment the competition becomes appropriate?
That is not athlete development. That is insecurity wearing a medal.
Too many athletes are trained to barely win instead of learning how to dominate the problem in front of them. They are taught not to lose—not to impose their game, create reactions, connect attacks, adapt under pressure, and pursue the finish.
Then everyone celebrates a hollow victory as if something meaningful happened.
Athletes: If you know the division is beneath you and still chase the podium, own what you are doing. Stop calling yourself dominant when you are hiding from the level that would expose you.
Coaches: Your job is to challenge your athletes—not protect your reputation through them. If your competitors never struggle, never lose honestly, and never have their weaknesses revealed, the matchmaking is doing more work than your coaching.
An athlete should never be embarrassed for accepting a hard challenge and losing.
The embarrassment belongs to the athlete who hides and the coach who helps them hide.
Stop manufacturing success. Stop protecting fragile identities. Stop turning fear into “strategy.”
Promote athletes when they are ready. Enter appropriate divisions. Seek real resistance. Train to create the match and fight to win.
Easy medals build weak confidence.
Honest tests build dangerous athletes.

My first match back didn’t end with my hand raised—but stepping onto the mat after more than two years away was already a victory!
I felt good, I had fun, and I remembered exactly why I love competing! Winning is always the goal, but one result doesn’t define the journey. You learn, you adjust, and you keep moving forward!
A huge thank-you to my wife for always supporting me, keeping me accountable, and keeping my training on track! I couldn’t have prepared for this without you!
Thank you to my team and all of my students for pushing me, challenging me, and helping me prepare for this tournament! Every hard round, every lesson, and every word of encouragement helped me step onto that mat ready to compete!
I’m grateful for the experience, proud that I challenged myself again, and more motivated than ever to keep growing!
The fire is back! This was only the beginning! On to the next one!
Love you all!
