Old, tired, beat up.... no knocked out though. A BG MQ 14000 in for a new gear set and back out the door before breakfast.
We always enjoy when some Avets arrive for a freshen up. A touch salty before and a lot smooth after, a few new bearings and they are good to go.
Battle scarred on the outside, running like a well oiled machine inside.
As long as we've been doing this its still amazing how many parts are needed to just keep the externals of a reel together before even opening the main body.
Spring prep is in full swing here in Florida, get your reels in asap!
Had this Ocea Jigger in for a bit of tlc and added a touch of extra lucky juju to it. Never expected that luck to go that far and the first fish out to be a Wahoo on the jig! Well done

Full service on this Speedmaster 12 2 speed, the handle is an after market upgrade and we needed to put some new bearings inside. She's now so quiet!!
