We will be out for lessons and riding at the new kiteboarding beach today after 12noon. See attached forecast. Wind is already up out there and should be mid teens and side-shore all day. The Levee is closed but we are riding all day. Come out and ride and stick around for the fireworks display in front of the property. We will be able to drive/ride all the way to the teaching beach at the extreme south end of the property as the ground is hard today...no more mud! See you out there!😀

We will be riding at the new property tomorrow. Skyline Drive will be Closed for July 4th so come down to: 😀. We will all be riding/teaching and watching fireworks at the new property. The best launch area is on the south end of the property and the drive in should be better as everything has dried out. Look for the teaching trailer out there or just ask if you don't know where to go. Make sure to join the www.houstonkiteboardclub.com and sign the site waiver for access.

Galveston Downwinder This Sunday Afternoon 10Apr22 for Chris Summer's Birthday. Forecast is calling for 4-5ft seas with 25-33mph winds from the south. Kite/surfboard, Kite/twintip (inside), Wingfoil. Kite size will be 8-10m call the shop or stop in to pick one up if you don't have this size. Meet at Tipsy Turtle at 1pm and leave (carpool) at 1:30 for St Luis Pass to start. We will start around 2pm and ride back to the Tipsy Turtle. We will use the buddy system for the ride so you can team up with someone close to your riding level before the start. 4-5ft surf will be challenging on a twin tip so plan to stay on the inside near shore if inexperienced. Wingfoil will be experts only in those condition and more so if the winds sweep more SSE or SE. South winds should make for an nice angle downwind if the forecast holds. **DEMO** Core Xlite, Flysurfer Peak4, and new one strut mystery kite demo tomorrow at mile 4 on the d**e in Texas City. 3pm - dark. We will have the kites out as well as a Slingshot Micro and the Moses 790 wing if you guys want to try them as well. We will be filming the demo videos. Weather looks perfect for a light wind test of all of the above options in that size. Maybe just worth coming out just to watch the relaunch test of the Peak4...should be interested!
