Feel free to bring water bottles/containers and be sure they have lids to prevent spilling. Have a drink before class, but limit yourself to a sip or 2 during class IF needed. It is better to hydrate after class. Our bodies do best with empty or light stomachs during asana practice, and this includes water.

If you've never done yoga before, many of the postures are going to feel weird, because it involves movements that your body is not used to. Fear not, however. The soreness you feel the day afterwards is a sign that your body is getting stronger as it adapts to the new movements.

Ardha Matsyendrasana or the Fish Pose is a half spinal twist that is named after a yogi called Matsyendranath. It is a beginner level Hatha yoga asana. Practice the pose in the morning on an empty stomach. Hold it for 30 to 60 seconds.

Simhasana
Also Known As – Lion Pose

How It Works
This asana is known to tone the facial muscles and is a good stress buster too. It is a basic pose, and anyone can do it, irrespective of their age. When you sit in the Lion Pose and stick your tongue out, your facial muscles, along with the thorax and spine, are stretched. If you do this regularly, you will see your double chin vanish within no time.
