TCDYC exists to promote sailing in the greater Houston area. We typically launch from mile 4 on TCD. We are a virtual club that exists at http://tcdyc.com.

The Texas City D**e Yacht Club exists to promote sailing in the greater Houston area. Our home base is the Texas City D**e - a 5 mile long structure that protects the Texas City shipping channel from siltation and provides a beach, protected water and some of the best catamaran sailing in the nation.

I just received confirmation, the F18 American Championship will be held at Houston Yacht Club, April 3-9, 2027. We will be looking for volunteers to help with getting boats on and off the beach, moving boats and crews around the grounds, and some for watching the cat trax on the beach while people are sailing.

We are also considering sponsors to help with regatta cost. Send me any ideas for sponsors who may be willing to help with this regatta.

We plan to bring some 30-40 boats in from around the country. If you are looking for an f18 to race this one, now is the time. We hope to see lots of local boats show up .

Sailing Instructions for Wayward Winds have been posted.

I’m staying with the old school reach leg (B Mark).

Would you prefer to have 5 hour to hour half races or 8-10 shorter races? The course will still be a triangle windward/leeward for either.

Looking to do a Second Saturday Social Sail next Saturday - June 13.

We have been working to get a group of local Boy & Girl Scouts out on catamarans.

We will set up before noon - I’ll bring the grill for those who want to throw something on.

If you want to take a scout sailing, bring extra lifejackets and harnesses - and maybe some other gear you can think of. Remember, most of these scouts have never been in a boat before.

I’m getting the NOR out for Wayward and going to something a bit different: make the start time for Saturday 2pm. The regatta is set-up in Regatta Network and we have a few entries already.
