I believe leadership is about more than what we produce. It is also about who we are becoming in the process. Results matter, but so do integrity, wisdom, and the kind of life that can actually hold the weight of what God has called us to carry. This is the kind of message I share with leaders who want success that stays anchored in purpose.
If this message resonates, I would love to bring it to your next event. Learn more at thedebbiesimmons.com

Stop calling it “busy” when you’re scattered.
We’ve seen leaders rush decisions to prove they’re productive—then wonder why their choices don’t feel aligned. That’s not speed. That’s drift.
When we catch ourselves moving without prayerful alignment, we pause and ask: what God’s grace is correcting in this moment? The Kingdom mindset isn’t faster—it’s faithful. It chooses the next wise step that builds legacy instead of just momentum.
If you’re feeling stretched, overwhelmed, or unclear, don’t just work harder. Get back to alignment.

Leadership growth is rarely about doing more. It's about becoming someone who can carry more.
Every new level requires a different mindset, stronger structures, wiser relationships, and the willingness to invest before you see the return.
The hardest part isn't the work. It's accepting that growth often asks you to let go of what's familiar so you can build what your future requires.
The question isn't whether there's a price to pay.
The question is whether the vision is worth it.
What have you had to leave behind to become the leader you're called to be?

Growth isn't just about reaching the next milestone. It's about becoming the person God is preparing you to be.
I've learned that every new season requires something different from us. More humility. Greater surrender. A willingness to keep learning and trust God in ways we never have before.
The qualities that helped us get here may not be enough to take us where He's calling us next.
Real leadership isn't measured by how much we've achieved. It's measured by how teachable we remain and how willing we are to let God shape us along the way.
Every level of growth begins with a heart that's willing to say, "Lord, change me first."
What is God asking you to surrender as you step into your next season?

“If it feels urgent, it’s not automatically God.”
Leaders, we’ve all been there—one more demand, one more deadline, one more “now” that rattles your peace.
So before we say yes, we ask what urgency is costing you:
Time with your family.
Integrity in the deal.
Peace in your spirit.
Then we write the decision down and pray scripture over the trade-off. Not to control it—just to tell the truth about what we’re paying.
If it steals peace, we slow down and listen again.

There comes a point when achievement alone is no longer enough.
You can accomplish your goals, build a successful career, or lead a growing business and still sense that God is inviting you into something deeper.
Often, the next season isn't about adding more to your plate. It's about becoming the person God needs you to be for what's ahead.
Growth requires fresh trust. Greater influence requires greater obedience. And lasting impact begins with a heart that's willing to keep learning, growing, and saying yes to God.
When you grow, the people around you benefit too. That's how legacy is built.
Where is God stretching you to grow in this season?

There have been seasons in my life when I wondered if the small, ordinary moments even mattered.
Over time, God has shown me that legacy is rarely built in the moments the world applauds. It's built in the daily choice to trust Him, love well, and faithfully take the next step, even when we can't see what's ahead.
That's the heart behind *The Heart of Legacy*.
It isn't a book about living a perfect life. It's about discovering that God can use an ordinary person who is willing to faithfully say "yes" to Him, one step at a time.
My prayer is that it reminds you your story matters, your obedience matters, and the legacy you're building today can impact generations to come.

Leaders don’t lose by lacking vision—they lose by overthinking the next move.
Here’s how we set goals with God (without bargaining with fear): each morning we write ONE “Kingdom-worthy” outcome for today.
Then we pray it through—and we ask, “What’s the single faithful action I can do in the next 24 hours?”
No bargaining.
No panic.
Just obedience for the day in front of us.
We pick what’s doable, not what’s impressive, because stewardship matters more than performance.
If you want a clear framework for doing this consistently, Download your FREE GUIDE and build a legacy-aligned plan you can actually finish.

Sometimes the hardest part of hardship isn't the circumstance itself. It's deciding who we will become because of it.
I've walked through seasons that could have left me discouraged, bitter, or ready to give up. Instead, God gently reminded me that pain doesn't have to define my future. It can become the place where He grows my faith, deepens my character, and strengthens my purpose.
We don't always get to choose what happens to us. But we do get to choose how we respond.
Every challenge is an opportunity to trust God a little more, grow a little stronger, and become more like Christ.
Choose to become better, not bitter.
If you're walking through a difficult season, I pray The Heart of Legacy encourages you to keep taking the next best step and trust God with the rest.
What difficult season has God used to shape you into the person you are today?
