MOUNT TRACK: This past weekend, at the Glenn Loucks Games at White Plains HS, our 4 x 400-Meter Relay team—Jaden Roberson, Steven Monegro, Jacob Heyward, and Pierce Parker—achieved their best time of the year at 3 minutes and 24 seconds. 🎉Congrats, gentlemen! 👏👏👏🏅

2025 Mayors Cup Relays at the HBCU SHOWCASE:

This morning, the mounties did their thing! Steven Monegro ‘26, Jaden Roberson ‘25, Jacob Heyward ‘25 & Jace Stephenson ‘26 competed in the Mayors Cup 4x200m Relay at The Armory! After qualifying for the finals, they placed 2nd securing a team trophy! A few obstacles had to be overcome in the process and their strength and perseverance pulled them through the finish line! Congratulations gentleman!

2024 SPORTS AWARDS DINNER!!! This is the end of out 2023-2024 Track and Field season. We will be back stronger next year as well as wishing out seniors the best of luck in college!!!

PENN RELAYS 2024: An eventful weekend is the best way to describe it. Our guys ran with everything they got and it paid off. Mount’s 4x100 Meter Relay Team featuring Jacob Heyward, Jaden Roberson, D’Angelo Cabrera and Steven Monegro put up a fight in their race. Unfortunately one of the leg’s pulled a muscle but we applaud the entire team for their great effort, and finishing the race injured. The 4x400 featuring Jaden Roberson, Julian Caldwell, D’Angelo Cabrera and Kadane Joseph ran a strong race as well placing and medaling 3rd with a seasons best of 3:30.39. Congratulations to all our mount athletes that made it to Penn Relays. Everyone put in their heart in their race and had great teamwork skills off the track supporting each other each day. Keep up the good work. Next Up is Howard Richter at Memorial Field and Glenn D Loucks Games at White Plains, NY.

JASPER HS INVITE: Mount came and dominated almost all of the presented events at the Jasper HS Invitational at Manhattan College! Congratulations to Jaden Roberson, Travis Agoanya, Jacob Heyward, Dangelo Cabrera, Steven Monegro, Johnathan Davis, Nelson Perez, Julian Caldwell, Andrew Roddy, Isaiah LaCasse & Kadane Joseph!

NY/BQ VARSITY SECTIONALS: This weekend at the Nike Track and Field Center at the Armory, Mount had an outstanding performance. These student athletes were determined to earn a team plaque and their determination led them to a 2nd place plaque in the Varsity A division. Jaden Roberson ‘25 placed 1st in the 300m dash with a PR time of 36.13 and Jacob Hayward in 3rd. Steven Monegro ‘26 placed 2nd in the 400m dash with a time of 53.83. Julian Caldwell ‘24 won the 600m run with a PR time of 1:25.73. Nelson Perez ‘24 and Travis Agaonya ‘25 placing in the High Jump and Long Jump. 4x200m Relay including Nelson Perez, D’Angelo Cabrera, Jacob Hayward and Travis Agaonya with Elias Burgos as an alternate placed 2nd in the finals. And 4x400m Relay including Jaden Roberson, Steven Monegro, Kadane Joseph and Julian Caldwell placed 1st. Finally Congrat to Andrew Roddy on placing 2nd in the 800m run. Congratulations to all the athletes that participated this weekend. Next up is the Ocean Breeze Invitational on Saturday at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, NY.

MILLROSE TRIALS: Mount Track did their thing last night at the Millrose Trials at The Nike Track and Field Center at the Armory. Junior Jaden Roberson, Senior Julian Caldwell, Senior D’Angelo Cabrera & Junior Kadane Joseph placed 2nd in the High Boys CHSAA & Misc 4x400 Meter Relay with a SB time of 3:31.63. This time qualifies the team for the Nike Indoor Nationals in March. Not only did they qualify for nationals, but they are US #79 and NY #15! This is a huge accomplishment. The same relay squad qualified for Nike Indoor Nationals in the 1600 Meter Sprint Medley Relay as well as the 4x200 Meter Relay including Junior Jacob Heyward. Congratulations Gentlemen!!

Indoor Track: Congrats to all athletes that participated in the Brian Carney Classic today at Fordham University. All of our student athletes put their heart into their races and achieved a variety of medals from 55m, 200m, 800m, Shot Put, and 4x400 Relay. Congrats Gentlemen, next up CHSAA Frosh/Soph Champs at Ocean Breeze Staten Island & Archbishop Molloy Stanner Games at The Nike Track and Field Center at the Armory this upcoming weekend.

XC BRONX BOYS CHAMPS: Congratulations to all of these student athletes with their success this Cross Country Season. With XC Championships left, these gentlemen really put on a show this season. Indoor will be a different animal for all athletes old and new. Congrats!
