Longtime dormant on social media. Long story short, a lot going on in my personal life the since Thanksgiving 2024 when my wife went blind, then had surgery to fix her left eye, then diagnosed with breast cancer, chemo, surgeries, radiation, the whole kit and caboodle. She is doing well, finishes her radiation on June 2, then we wait for reconstructive surgery. She is tough as nails, and mean as a snake when she needs to be. I love her and she is beating cancer.

We also have a lot going on in the business side of life as my LLC is now active and there will be some changes on this page and my others in the near future with the DBAs etc. I love you all, thanks for following and sticking with me and I’m excited to make more announcements in the near future.

A little strongman training followed by additional shoulder work and some calisthenics for my buddy. He’s not so fond of the Persian Club holds, but he is one strong kid.

Update:
CT - brain scan on 8th to see if the cancer has spread to her brain.

PET Scan - full body on 14th to see if cancer has spread to her lungs, Heart, liver, bones, or anything else.

She has the Chemo port surgery on the 15th.

First chemo treatment is the 16th.

Treatment is once a week, two phases, each phase in cycles:
Phase 1 - 4 cycles:

Week 1 - 3 drugs
Week 2 - 1 drug
Week 3 - 1 drug
Repeat cycle for 12 weeks.

Phase 2 - 4 cycles:

Week 1 - 3 drugs
Week 2 & 3 blood work
Repeat cycle 12 weeks.

They are sending us an email in the next couple days with videos that explain the drugs and side effects and all the fun.

He is risen! Happy Easter everyone.

I, on the other hand, am down and out, and don’t want to rise today. Legs starting off the week, a mix of mid-light weights with mid-high reps for too many sets pushing the limits of my current muscle endurance. I got everything in but the 6 supersets of front squats/db lunges. My knees crapped out on me.

That’s ok, we all have fights with our bodies sometimes on our fitness journeys and there are times we push through and times when you have to know when to back off. It is all part of the learning curve. I will definitely be circling back to this particular workout in a few weeks to progress through it.

Sometimes, it’s better just to stick to the basics.

You don’t need a gym full of equipment to get in a helluva a workout. You just need basic movements, your body and occasionally simple tools with the knowledge to put it together.
