Ever wonder what all those markings on a swimmer's arm mean?

It's not a secret code! It's a swimmer's roadmap to a successful meet!
Those four little letters, E, H, L, and S, help swimmers keep track of their events, heats, lanes, and strokes so they know exactly where they need to be and when!

Whether you're a brand-new swim family or just need a quick refresher, we've put together this handy guide to help take the guesswork out of meet day!

Select Swim had a great weekend at the 2026 NT “ATAC Your Times” BB & Up Meet! This meet was open to swimmers with at least one BB and higher time We would also like to recognize Kenston Wade, who achieved at least one "BB" time.

Earning a BB time is an exciting milestone in competitive swimming! USA Swimming's BB motivational time standard represents approximately the top 35% of swimmers nationally within their age group and event.

North Texas Swimming (NT LSC) is introducing a new way to recognize swimmers ages 14 & under who achieve a BB time in each of the five event categories: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and individual medley (IM).

We are proud to celebrate nine Select Swim swimmers who have each achieved at least one BB time in an event within their age group! This accomplishment reflects their hard work, dedication, and continued growth in the pool.
Congratulations, swimmers! Keep working hard, chasing those BB times, striving for A times, and reaching for even greater achievements in the pool!
