Meal Train for Caroline Taylor For those of you who are not aware, Caroline Taylor was diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer and will be having a double mastectomy on April 8th. We are coordinating this meal train for her and her family to help them during this time.

Our first meet is quickly approaching on Thursday March 6th. We are hosting this season opener and we need your help to make it a success.

For those of you who do not have a volunteer background check on file with the school district, please make sure you have that filled out and submitted to Christina Little at the High school main office as soon as possible.

The schedule of events has not been published yet, and you may not know what event your athlete is running or participating in as of right now, however we always make sure that parents can watch and cheer on their athletes. If you sign up for a volunteer spot and need to step away to go support your child, we will always make sure you can do that. So please don't hesitate to volunteer. When we have the slots filled we know where we need floaters and fill-ins to be so please sign up as soon as possible.

Hello DCXC/Track Families! I am running for the Deer Creek School Board, and I am asking for your VOTE on Tuesday, Feb. 11.

The Deer Creek Cross Country and Track teams feel like a part of our family. We have enjoyed being a part of such a special and positive group. Over the years, I have made great friendships through volunteering at meets, working the concession stand, serving breakfasts on Wednesday mornings to our runners, taking road trips to out-of-state meets, and serving on the DCXC/Track Booster Club. I’ve met the most wonderful people!

As a school board member, I promise to work hard for our school district so we thoughtfully plan for the growth Deer Creek Schools is experiencing, increase school safety, and listen to parents, teachers and students to find the best solutions for our school district. Things are changing rapidly right now in our country and many of those changes will affect our schools. I believe I am the RIGHT person to help our school district navigate those changes. I’m a creative problem solver and have spent my professional career working for and with nonprofits to make a positive difference in the world. I worked for more than 15 years at the University of Central Oklahoma, for two secondary schools, for the Deer Creek Schools Foundation, and founded my consulting firm. All of those experiences helped prepare to serve on the Deer Creek School Board.

Many times, school board elections are won by only a handful of votes. So, I am asking for your help! Mark your calendars for next Tuesday and VOTE for Lisa!

Support Deer Creek Track & Field by ordering some Deer Creek Gear!
Our online store will be open until midnight on February 12th. We are hoping to have merchandise available before our first meet on March 6th.
Once the store has closed, all orders are packaged and sent either to home address or with our Booster club team member. We will send an order pick up date and time in early March. Please be on the lookout for that.

“Most of the dates, venues and times are pretty firm; however, please keep in mind that times could vary slightly from those listed, and that spring weather is unpredictable and can lead to postponements, cancellations, and changes from time to time. As a coaching staff, we will do our best to communicate these changes as quickly as possible. Thank you so much.”
