Y'Allstars Southern Skate Showdown

Calling all Louisiana youth artists! We are in need of a fresh design for our 2027 official tournament tee and we need your help.

Are you a Louisiana student enrolled in a traditional, parochial, charter, homeschool, online school or GED program? Do you have an eye for style and a talent for the arts?

Submit your artwork for our second consecutive T-shirt design contest. We are looking for designs that celebrate the sport of roller derby through the lens of Louisiana culture and traditions. The winning designer will receive 2 weekend passes to Y’Allstars 2027 and have their design transformed onto a tournament tee, receive one of those tees for free, as well as social media mentions and a showcase of their artwork at the tournament.

Submissions are due by Friday, November 20th. All entries will be reviewed and scored by our judging panel and the top 10 designs will advance to a public voting period on our page in December.

We're looking for folks aligned with the tournament's mission and values who bring a good mix of experience, insight and sound decision making capabilities.

It's WFTDA NA-West Regional Playoffs Weekend! Seems like a fantastic time to highlight one of our tournament MVPs from Y'Allstars 2026. This amazing skater will be taking the track this weekend with Denver Roller Derby: it's Chinaski!

So excited to share that the Y'Allstars Southern Skate Showdown was recognized as the 2025 Event of the Year at the Lafourche Parish Bayou Ambassador Awards! Thank you so much to everyone who has helped to build Y'Allstars up over the last several years and to for choosing us for this honor!

It's been about 2 months since Y'Allstars 2026, so we're throwing it back to this adorable jersey swap moment between Chinaski and PR Nightmare, who both ended up being named MVP Blockers of the tournament in their respective divisions just a few hours later.
