It was so nice to see our friends from Bayouland R/C Club come by the shop for a visit today ✈️They were picking up their raffle prize, the Eflite Conscendo 2.0, for their upcoming Fun Fly on September 26th. Supporting local hobby clubs all across the state has always been a priority for us. We love to see the hobby staying stong & active! ✈️❤️

In 1929, Dale G. “Red” Jackson and Forest O’Brine began their quest for the longest fueled and crewed record flight. Flying the Curtiss St. Louis Robin, Jackson and O’Brine stayed in the air for 420 hours, 21 minutes, and 30 seconds – or seventeen and a half days! They smashed the previous record by over seven days

Huge turnout at the Bayouland RC Club flying field this morning in Thibodaux, LA.
Club members came out in full force, filling the sky with model RC airplanes, helicopters, EDF jets, and even toy skydivers. It was a fantastic day of flying, fun, and friendship — the kind of morning that reminds everyone why this hobby is so special.

Ted Hoffmann, a founding member of the Bayouland RC Club has passed away.

Theodore “Ted” Hoffmann was named the Frank Kennedy Citizen of the Year, an honor bestowed at the annual banquet of the Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce.

Owner of Hofman Music, the downtown store, Hoffmann has also been involved with a wide range of civic groups, including the Bayou Community Band, St. Genevieve Church and school and the Bayouland Radio Control Model Airplane Club.

Keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.
