This past Saturday, during the Nicholls vs. UTRGV family day game, we were proud to recognize Glenn Diedrich and his family as our Alumni Family of the Game!🏈
A 1970 graduate with a B.A. in Business Administration, Glenn was a member of the Nicholls baseball team and played under legendary coach Raymond Didier. His involvement with Nicholls continued throughout the years, serving as both a board member and president of both the College of Business Alumni Association and the Colonel Athletic Association. He was also named a College of Business Alumni Association Outstanding Graduate. Before retiring, Glenn served as the owner and CEO of Cycle World of Houma, which celebrates 60 years this year.
Colonel pride runs deep in his family, too. His wife, Nancy, is a 1969 and 1990 Nicholls graduate, a former Nicholls cheerleader, and the 1967 Homecoming Queen. Glenn and Nancy have three children, Jill, Chris (B.A ’99) and Ellen, as well as seven grandchildren. Their Colonel legacy continues with Chris’ wife, Liz (B.S. '99), as well as grandsons Jack Purser and Charlie Diedrich, who currently play football for the Colonels. We’re proud to celebrate Glenn and the Diedrich family’s lasting impact on Nicholls!⚔♥
