Good Afternoon Coaches and Families,

As part of our Swinging For Our Troops Overseas event, we are asking all teams and families to help us support our United States Military members stationed overseas.

Blue Star Mothers Chapter 7 will collect all player letters and care packages and ship them directly to our troops overseas.

Please see the list below of requested donation items. Individual packages are preferred. Please do not bring large bagged items.

We ask that every player take the time to write one letter to an anonymous service member stationed overseas explaining what their service means to them.

• Please place letters in a sealed envelope
• Include a return address so troops can correspond back if they choose
• Players may include social media information if desired for correspondence

We have hosted this event 11 years running and have used it as a tool to connect our youth baseball players with our United States Military serving overseas.

Have all letters in a sealed envelope with a return addy so the troops can correspond. Players may include their social media links on the letter so the troops can correspond that way also.

CARE PACKAGES

We ask that all teams bring no less than 1 care package. Please do not bring any loose items it will be hard for us to handle. Please have all care package items boxed up in an unsealed box. Operation We Care will have to inspect all items before it is shipped.

OTC Sports is excited to introduce our NEW 8U Modified Kid Pitch format designed specifically to help young players transition from coach pitch baseball into true kid pitch in a structured and developmental environment! 🔥

This division is built for TEACHING, DEVELOPMENT, and CONFIDENCE BUILDING while removing the chaos that often comes with traditional kid pitch at this age.

⚾️ 8U MODIFIED KID PITCH RULES ⚾️

• ⏰ 1 Hour & 30 Minute Time Limit or 6 Innings
• 🔥 Maximum of 7 Runs Per Inning
• 📏 40 Foot Pitching Distance
• 🏃 60 Foot Base Paths
• 🚫 NO Stealing
• 🚫 NO Stealing on Passed Balls
• 🚫 NO Dropped 3rd Strike
• 🚫 NO Leads
• 🚫 NO Balks
• 💪 Pitchers Limited to 8 Innings Per Event

Our goal is simple…

We want young pitchers to focus on THROWING STRIKES and developing proper mechanics without worrying about runners stealing every pitch.

We want hitters to gain valuable live at-bats against real pitching.

We want coaches to have an organized and developmental atmosphere focused on TEACHING THE GAME the right way.

This format creates a much smoother transition from coach pitch into full kid pitch baseball while helping players build confidence and fundamentals for the future.
