Attn KMP Karting Family and Friends!!

What a great weekend in Thompson! Saturday we were helping new racers getting out for the first time. Watching some new kid kart drivers turning laps and just having the best time! We were blessed to make some new friends!!

Sundays racing was great! We got to watch some of the best battles of the year. We also got to see Mac and Finley Schlabach race together in the same class. That was special for sure!! The best drive of the weekend had to be Ryan Dressler who spent the heat races in the pits working through a drive train issue. He went from last on the grid to the win in Senior 206!

We also want to send out a HUGE thank you to Justin Dale!!! You probably don’t recognize his name because he and his son Jet are brand new to the club. They were at the track on Saturday for Jet to do and Arrive and Drive rental with Rocketech Motorsports in a Junior kart. They returned on Monday and got the roof painted on the Grid Canopy!!!

We have great things ahead for everyone at KMP and we are looking forward to sharing it with everyone!

SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!!

Not only will we have another awesome day of kart racing! But Nicky is going to have Peaches and Cream Sweet Corn!🌽 The corn is from our(meaning Jennie’s) farm stand. I had some for dinner yesterday and it’s AMAZING! It will be available at the concession stand on Sunday!

Attn KMP Karting Family and Friends!!

Just wanted to give a quick shout out to Nicky!! When we learned about the power going out at the track from the storm she jumped right in. She went out to the track and gathered up the things from the fridge and freezer to help the club. It was about midnight when she returned home. We just wanted Nicky to know that she is appreciated for everything that she gives back to the club.

What an amazing night of racing! Thanks to everyone who came out and supported all of the racers !
It was the final round of the Hot Summer Nights Rock N Roll series. It was great to present the winners with their Championship Guitar awards!!

This is Kart Racing!!!!

Kart racing is the purest form of Motorsport. Kart racing is the most attainable form of motorsport. It includes drivers from the age of 5 all the way up through the 60s. And one of the best parts is that this hidden gem is so close right in Thompson, Ohio at Kuhnle Motorsports Park.

The KMP Karting facility is operated by Championship Kart Racing Association out of Chardon, Ohio. It is a club run track that is operated by its members. Here you will find the most welcoming atmosphere of kart racing enthusiasts. We all want to see everyone there have the best experience possible! So have no fear about getting into uncharted territory. We are all here to help. You can get into the sport with a used kart for as little as $2000 with all of the safety gear. If you’re seriously interested in karting then you should contact us about the possibility of a test drive. We love the sport and want to help you become a part of it.

So come check out round #4 of our Hot Summer Nights Rock N Roll Series on Saturday August 29th. The features will be run under the lights! Admission is just $12 and that includes access to the pits. Seniors 65+ are only $8 and kids 6 and under are free. Food!!! We are known for having one of the best concession stands around!!! Please invite your friends and family! Attn KMP Karting Family and Friends!!

This is an exciting week for KMP Karting. This Saturday is the final round for the Hot Summer Nights Rock N Roll Series!! That means that we will be presenting our HSN Champions with their championship guitars!!

Also!!! We have decided to add a Wednesday practice for August 26th. We will again have a Kid Karts only practice from 2-5pm followed by an open practice from 5-8. Right now the weather forecast is looking great!

We look forward to seeing everyone soon!!!

Attn KMP Karting Family and Friends!!!!!!!!! Two things!

#1. THANK YOU!!! It was great that we had some people come out and help paint. They were able to complete the restroom building and that is awesome! The canopy over the grid still needs completed. If you can help please, please let us know. Because it is a metal roof we need to be careful not to damage it. I we were told that up to 150 lbs is safe. So if you can help please let us know. We don’t want to lose momentum and we want the Kuhnle’s to be proud of the kart tracks appearance.

#2 Jeff Goetz is going to open the track for practice on today, August 19th. It will open up at 1pm for a kid kart only practice. That will run until 5 PM. Then the track will be open for open practice from 5-8 PM. We hope that a lot of people can take advantage of this extra time.

Attn KMP Karting Family and Friends!!!!!!!!! Two things!

#1. HELP!!! We are painting the roofs of the two metal structures tonight. Meeting at the track at 5:30 pm. We have the paint and 4 rollers ready to go. The trim around the openings need painted as well. If you are not an able young person you can still maybe help get paint and things to those on the roof. We can really use three or four more people!!! Please let us know if you can help.

What a great day of racing! There were a lot of overtakes as the day went on. It became obvious that a good handling kart made a big difference on the Bea-Lupe' Loop circuit. We got a lot of positive feedback. If you raced it today please tell us what you thought?

A big thanks to everyone who brought something to share at the cookout. I think everyone did well and we liked to see the smiles!!
