Congratulations to Nyree Smith on announcing her Division II offer from Western Wyoming Women’s Basketball , a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
This opportunity wasn’t given—it was earned through years of commitment, sacrifice, and an unwavering work ethic. Every workout, every practice, every challenge embraced has helped open another door.
As coaches and teammates, we couldn’t be more proud of the young woman Nyree has become and the example she continues to set for our program. This is another milestone in what we believe will be a very special journey, and it’s exciting to watch college coaches recognize the player—and person—that we’ve had the privilege to coach.
Congratulations, Ny. Keep working, stay humble, and enjoy the journey. More is still ahead.
Summer isn’t where championships are won—but it’s where they’re built.
This group chose to show up. - thank you incoming seniors for all the hard work.
They competed in a 3v3 league, played in the Replacement Teams Tournament, and took on three team camps against outstanding competition from across the region. Along the way, they played 19 games, traveled through Colorado, Wyoming, and Arizona, and invested approximately 235 hours together— collective player-hours of travel, competition, team camps, and team-building.
The wins and losses will fade, but the growth won’t.
I’m incredibly proud of the commitment, sacrifice, and work this group put in all summer. They challenged themselves, embraced adversity, and became a better team because of it.
A sincere thank you to our parents for the countless miles driven, flights taken, hotel stays, meals, and unwavering support. Thank you to our school district and administration for believing in what we’re building and providing opportunities for these student-athletes to grow on and off the court.
We’re a much better team today than we were when summer began.
Now the real work continues- we will continue to run to the storm. Big shout out to Dee for all the pics and the extra media you gave the girls this summer and continue to do for all the girls and athletes and memories you capture.
