One of the fastest ways to reach your health and fitness goals is to put a great coach in your corner.

A coach gives you a plan built around you. Your goals. Your experience. Your strengths. Your limitations.

They take the guesswork out of your training, teach you how to move properly, help you progress at the right pace, and make adjustments when something isn’t working.

But maybe most importantly, a great coach gives you accountability.

It’s easy to skip a workout, cut a set short, or convince yourself you’re doing enough when no one is paying attention. A coach keeps you focused, consistent, and moving forward.

Could you figure it all out on your own? Absolutely.

But if you want to stop guessing, avoid unnecessary mistakes, and make the most of the time you’re already putting in, hire a coach.

Your goals still require your effort.

A great coach just helps make sure that effort is taking you in the right direction.

We asked our coaches, what’s one fitness habit they know they could be better about?

Nobody’s perfect. The goal isn’t perfection. It’s recognizing where you can improve and continuing to work at it.

Now it’s your turn.

What’s one bad fitness habit YOU have?

A great day starts with a decision to show up.

Walk through these doors and put in the work. Build your strength. Build your fitness. Build a better version of yourself.

If you’re serious about getting stronger or building muscle, start tracking your workouts.

Why?

Because one of the most important principles in strength training is progressive overload.

Progressive overload simply means gradually increasing the demands you place on your body over time. As your body adapts to training, you need to continue challenging it to give it a reason to keep adapting.

That might mean:

• Adding weight
• Doing more reps with the same weight
• Improving your range of motion
• Improving technique and control
• Gradually training closer to failure

But here’s the problem…

If you don’t know what you did last week, how do you know if you’re progressing this week?

Tracking your workouts gives you a target to beat.

If you squatted 225 pounds for 8 reps last week, maybe the goal is 9 reps this week. Eventually you hit 10, increase the weight, and start building again.

That’s progressive overload in action.

Research consistently shows that muscle and strength adaptations are driven by providing a sufficient training stimulus and progressively challenging the body as it adapts.

You don’t need to set a PR every workout, and progress won’t always be perfectly linear.

But walking into the gym knowing exactly what you did last time gives you something incredibly valuable:

A goal for what to improve today.

Track your training. Give yourself a target. Keep progressing.
