When my beloved husband Donnie died unexpectedly in 2022 I dropped into the dark land of The Unknown. I lost the greatest love I ever had. Having lived in that land of despair and the unknown in 2011 after I received a breast cancer diagnosis I learned my survival depended on SOMEHOW finding a seed of good inside the situation. EVERY situation.
I got better and better at finding that Seed of Good these last four years and asking myself “What would I love?”
If I get to do this again, and I DO, what do I want NOW?
My fresh start is here and I’m loving everything about it. Bicoastal living. A loving relationship with a wonderful partner, lots of music and travel, and more fun than ever.

✨Mourning Do: The Eleven Tools for Grief Support ✨

This meeting is in honor of our dear friends Doug Clifton and Katherine Velez Katz who were killed this week when their motorcycle was hit head-on by a truck.

Doug and Kathy embodied love, service, kindness, and lived a beautiful
Deadhead life celebrating community - their love for live music and each other delighted friends coast to coast. Many of us danced with them just weeks ago at GD60 at Golden Gate Park, and as summer began in NYC at the Central Park bandshell.

Doug’s livestreams at Terrapin Crossroads were a shining light during the Covid lockdown and almost nightly since the pandemic you could go to Facebook for fabulous music live-streamed by Doug. Kathy, who left retirement to work as a traveling nurse during the lockdown, celebrated her 70th birthday earlier this month. Doug just celebrated the birth of a new grandchild.

As someone who has walked through profound loss and years of guiding clients and retreat participants through grief, we’ll explore strategies for honoring our loved ones while rebuilding our lives. Whether you're grieving a recent loss, an old wound, or supporting someone else through their journey, this session offers practical tools I’ve used for moving through darkness.

This is our community coming together - there will be opportunity to share your stories of the joy in knowing this amazing couple, Doug and Kathy, as time permits and absolutely no pressure to do so. Come as you are, stay as long as you like, and let us hold you. Pass it on to your friends. Let it grow.

🎉Celebrating the wedding of Emanuelle and Ben this week😍two of my favorite people🤩It’s one of the best weeks of my life, and even though I returned home with laryngitis I want to hold this happy and grateful feeling as long as possible.
