📣 WE NEED YOUR VOICE 📣

The Sandy Fire showed us exactly why Conejo Creek Equestrian Park matters!

On the very first night using our new temporary evacuation corrals, every available corral was filled with horses — and even a donkey — seeking safety while evacuating from the fires. Last night the park still had seven horses displaced from their homes!

This park became more than just a place for riding — it has become a place of safety, support, and action when it was needed most! Our community immediately stepped up. Local youth, neighbors, riders, and volunteers showed up with buckets, helped provide water for evacuated horses, and brought extra supplies to support animals and families during a difficult time.

But we need that same community support again!

The proposed CRPD concept plan could impact the only free public equestrian park in Conejo Valley. If you care about preserving open space, equestrian access, emergency response resources, and protecting a place that serves our community when it matters most, please show up, use your voice by emailing, or signing our petition.

🚨 THIS is why Conejo Creek Equestrian Park matters 🚨

Tonight, 15 horses and 1 donkey are safe because this community prepared ahead of time.

Last year, ETI Corral 37 fundraised and, with support from Calabasas Saddlery, built 15 temporary corrals for emergencies exactly like this. Tonight, every single one was used.

Our volunteers — including youth members — immediately jumped into action unloading horses, filling water buckets, feeding animals, helping neighbors, and even bringing pizza to keep everyone going through a stressful night.

A huge thank you to CRPD for quickly bringing a generator and lights to support the evacuation area. Thank you also to Kahoots for offering hay and shavings for evacuated horses.

This park is not “unused space.”
It is a critical community resource.
And tonight proved it.

Community showing up when it matters most. That is what makes Conejo Creek Equestrian Park so special. ❤️🐴
