11 years ago today, this photo was taken on the very first day we moved into the karate studio we’re still in today.

What makes this picture even more meaningful to me is that this was also the day my father asked me to officially join the business and become his equal partner.

We spent that entire day working side by side, from morning until late at night, getting everything ready. At the time, it probably just felt like another long day of work. Looking back now, I realize it was the beginning of one of the most important chapters of my life.

A lot has happened inside these walls over the last 11 years. Thousands of classes, promotions, black belts, families, friendships, challenges, and memories.

I’m incredibly grateful that I got the opportunity to build this place alongside my dad and carry on what he started.

11 years later, we’re still here.

This black belt test will always hold a special place in my heart.

These students are the first black belts I have ever promoted without my father standing beside me. That is something I will carry with me forever.

They are not just another group of black belts. They are part of my history now. My first.

They showed discipline, heart, perseverance, and respect throughout the entire journey. They earned this moment, and I am incredibly proud of each one of them.

We are proud of the hard work, discipline, perseverance, and growth these students have shown both on and off the mats. Promotions are earned through dedication, consistency, and the willingness to keep pushing forward even when things get difficult.

The first month of our Weapon X Program is officially done, and we’ve got 4 students now trained in Kamas.

We’re just getting started.

This month, we level up… Samurai sword training begins.
