One kid….
It’s a beautiful Sunday afternoon, little cloud cover but it’s not expected to rain. Light breeze makes for an amazing day to get out of the house, so I decided to take a bike ride.
While passing the park I decide to see if anyone was playing sports today to try and get some great content to provide you guys.
I can't believe my eyes….Basketball, not a single person, tennis….nor not a single person there either, racquetball empty, soccer nada, volleyball as empty as poor persons gas tank, the baseball field had a comical sign that reads “healthy hearts at play” but no one is playing so I guess there are no healthy hearts today, softball nope….
Then, as I was leaving I saw a glimmer of hope. A kid, who reminded me of my younger self. His bike on the side of the soccer field, shoulders slumped and alone. He probably had the same idea I would have had growing up, “It’s a nice day, there must be people at the park.” So he hoops on his bike and heads to the park HOPING other kids are there.
This is so sad to me, because if that kid is like me he is going to sit around here all afternoon with anticipation that other kids show up.
That’s why I’m determined to CREATE A PLATFORM THAT ELIMINATES THE WASTED TIME THAT ATHLETES JUST ACCEPT TRYING TO FIND WHEN AND WHERE PEOPLE ARE PLAYING THEIR FAVORITE SPORTS IN THEIR LOCAL AREA.
One kid, alone at the park, hoping someone will show up and play on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon.
