Higgins Tennis

Every Summer for the last 18 years, Higgins Tennis has inspired children with our Dynamic Games approach to teaching tennis and rewarded them with hard earned Higgins Bucks, which they can trade in for prizes!
Our Dynamic Games approach inspires children through play! So often children are not auditory learners, they are kinesthetic learners. On a Higgins Tennis Court there is no standing around. Balls are flying, rackets are moving, and kids are running. Children learn by doing and playing. Play is at the heart of what we do. Play is fun. Play is dynamic, meaning in motion, and play is at the basis of all learning.

To motivate kids and excite their imaginations, they also earn Higgins Bucks. Children earn Higgins Bucks by working together as a team, challenging themselves, and completing fun games! Then on Fridays, the children spend their Bucks at the Higgins Bucks Store.

Here is typical day at our Higgins Tennis Camp!

Coach Dan and Coach René will lead the camps!

9:15-9:30 Check-in and start building the Angry Birds Tower
9:30-10:30 Stroke of the Day and knock down the Angry Birds Tower and earn your first bucks
10:30-10:32 Every ball you pick up is a buck! Ready, set , go!
10:32-10:45 Snack Break
10:45-11:45 Second Game of the Day incorporating the stroke of the day into action!
11:45-12:30 Lunch and Chill Time with your new Friends
12:30-1:15 Group Games: Skyball, Crazy Tennis, Doubles and Singles Match Play, Team Tennis, and Big Kahuna

Our Camps are for Beginner to Intermediate Level Players Ages 6-12. We divide into groups based on age and level.

Monday: Forehands & Backhands
Tuesday: Rally Basics
Wednesday: Serves & Mega Bucks Day
Thursday: Games Day and the Buck Hunt!
Friday: Team Competitions and the Bucks Store.
