The Academy of Dance Arts

cus on learning a dance routine to perform at a recital or competitions, we train dancers to be knowledgeable about their craft and their bodies, to be conscious in their movements and to enjoy dancing! Founded by Jennifer Church in 1985, the Academy started with about 150 students on Monmouth Street. Word spread about the quality of dance training offered at the Academy and by 1996, with more than 500 students, the Academy had outgrown its location and moved into 10,000 square feet at 59 Chestnut street. In 2008, Mrs. Church passed the position of artistic director on to Nicholas and Shayne Mishoe. and Mrs. Mishoe have elevated the level of dancing at ADA by imparting their knowledge from the professional dance world. The Mishoes relocated the Academy in 2014 and continue the tradition of excellence at the Academy's new state of the art facility at 70 Apple Street in Tinton Falls.
