Wanted to give people a small glimpse into how we coach our athletes at RYPT 🎤🔥
Did a little talk over during our college warm up to explain the WHY behind what we’re doing.
The warm up is more than just getting loose.
It’s where we set the tone. It’s where energy gets built. It’s where communication starts. It’s where athletes learn how to move correctly before we ever get into speed, power, or strength work.
Every drill has purpose. Every rep has intent.
College group brought great energy for Day 2 😤💪
Reach Your Potential Training
Reach Your Potential Training (RYPT) Our Sports Performance training programs are designed to meet the needs and demands of today’s competitive athlete.
Reach Your Potential Training (RYPT) is located in a state of the art, 16,000 square foot sports performance facility specializing in enhancing athletic performance while decreasing the risk of injury. Through semi private, small group performance training for athletes in the 8th grade and up, we aim to improve all components of athleticism, including, but not limited to the following: speed, powe
Day 3 is for the DOGS 🐶
After a full week of school, skill work, practices, games, and two days already at RYPT… Fridays hit different.
Trap Bar Deadlifts.
Power Sprints.
Competition.
Finishers.
This is where you find out who’s willing to push when they’re tired.
Our athletes are wrapping up Phase 3 strong and earning every rep along the way.
At RYPT, we don’t just train when we feel good.
We train to separate ourselves.
BUILT DIFFERENT
What separates elite athletes from everybody else?
Consistency, Attention to detail, And the willingness to do the hard things over and over again.
has earned everything that’s coming her way.
No shortcuts, No excuses, Just relentless work behind the scenes.
At RYPT, we don’t just chase highlights. We build athletes that can dominate physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Strong athletes are common.Resilient athletes are different.
Not every athlete at RYPT is chasing social media weight.
Sometimes the biggest win is movement quality, positioning, control, and learning how to actually train the right way.
One thing we love at RYPT is the front squat.
WHY?!?
Because it forces athletes to stay in a more upright position, challenges trunk stability, improves mobility, and teaches athletes how to properly absorb and produce force.
Most importantly…It exposes weaknesses immediately.
You can’t fake posture
You can’t fake positioning
You can’t fake control.
And honestly, we need to do a better job showing ALL of our athletes, not just the biggest lifts or most advanced kids.
Because development matters. Technique matters. Consistency matters.
At RYPT we’re not just chasing numbers. We’re building athletes that move better, stay healthier, and perform better long term. 💯

Coaching Detail = Performance Transfer
Real coaching is seeing the little things that completely change movement.
• Foot Position
• Joint angles
• Timing
• Force Application
The smallest adjustments can create the biggest changes in speed, power, efficiency, and injury reduction.
That’s the difference between “working out” and actually training.
Every exercise should have purpose. Every cue should transfer. Every detail matters.
If it doesn’t transfer to the field or court…it’s not training. 🎯
The problem with the sports performance industry?
There are no real regulations.
Anyone can open a gym.Anyone can buy equipment.Anyone can make an athlete sweat.
And parents often mistake exhaustion for development.
Anybody can run kids into the ground.Anybody can make athletes tired.
That’s easy.
The real question is:Are they actually making your child BETTER?
My wife owns and Dr. Sharon always says:
“Bad training is worse than no training at all.”
Because poor coaching and improper movement patterns increase the likelihood of injuries.
Parents…You SHOULD be asking questions before trusting someone with your athlete.
• Are they certified?• What is their educational background?• Do they understand growth and development?• Do they teach proper movement mechanics?• Can they explain WHY they are doing an exercise?• Are they building athletes for long term success…or just trying to make them tired?
A hard workout does NOT automatically mean it’s a smart workout.
I’ve spent nearly 20 years studying performance enhancement and injury prevention.
CSCS certified through the Master’s degree in Performance Enhancement & Injury Prevention. Former Division I athlete.Olympic Trials champion.
At RYPT, we don’t train athletes just to sweat.
We train them to move better.Get stronger.Reduce injury risk.Build confidence. And perform at the highest level possible.
Parents…
Don’t just ask if your child worked hard.
Ask if they’re being coached the RIGHT way. 💯
Instilling Fundamental Movement Patterns early MATTERS!
-
At just 8 years old, Elodie already demonstrates elite-level body control. The way she handles her own body weight, decelerates, changes direction, and re-accelerates is well beyond her years and that doesn’t happen by accident.
-
This is long-term athletic development done right:
• Strong movement literacy
• Balance, coordination, and control
• Strength before speed
• Quality reps before load
-
Her ability to own positions, stay stable, and move efficiently builds the foundation that protects athletes and unlocks performance later on.
-
What separates her even more?
Work ethic. Focus. Intent. Every rep matters to her and that’s rare at any age.
-
This is how you build athletes for the long run. Can’t wait to keep watching her grow and dominate on the soccer field. ⚽️
