Saturday Sept. 29 was our last scheduled day to be open...we have decided that the season is over...the weather has not been our friend this year and we can not count on any more good days...time to winterize the track and say goodbye for now,,,Thank you all that supported us this year!!!

Merry Monday Skyview Drivers and Fans!!! Margo here with my 2cents blog for Sept. 14 & 15!!! Thank You to ALL that came up the mountain this weekend!!! Thank You to our staff and of course George!!!!

Another full weekend - that's 2 in a row!!!! I think some people didn't come up Friday because they thought it was going to rain and in fact it did rain in few places around the area but we were high and dry!!!! I try to keep this blog positive but I have to stop here and bring up something that is bothering me - we found broken glass after Friday's Test & Tune and want to remind all of you that glass bottles ect. are not allowed!!!! We do not want any of our Drivers to blow tires from running over glass OR have anyone get hurt from broken glass!!!! Also to the ones that TWICE had a TP fight (or whatever) in the men's room - if that is the way you behave please go somewhere else! (rant over)

Saturday was a beautiful day for racing!! Ed Arnold was back so we had a live version of the National Anthem for a change! Thanks again Ed!!! For a second time this season the Super Pros turned off their boxes and ran with the Pro Class! No TCRs so we had just 2 classes - Pro and Street Money plus we threw in a Gamblers Race to fill out the day!! Father and Son duo Mike and Mike LaRose came up for the first time this season - it was good to see them again!! After breaking an axle last week Lee Mills was back and was in the Pro final for the first time this season and Zane Furman took his 1st WIN in Pro this season!!! The track demons played with us twice by not registering the MPH - thank goodness we have Mitch A to fix that stuff! No perfect lights but here are the near perfect ones: in Pro - Dave Conner .5040, Mike LaRose Sr .5088 & .5030, Kayla Wood .5030 & .5048, Mike Jacobs .5098 & .5048, Blake Furman .5031 and Russ Story .5078 - in St. Money - Bridgette Vullo .5089 - in the Gamblers - Russ Story .5050 and Aaron Brown .5040!!!! Good job ALL!!!

Hello Skyview Drivers and Fans!!!! Margo here once again with my 2cents blog for the weekend Sept. 7 & 8!!!! THANK YOU ALL that came up the mountain to play this weekend!!!!!! Thank you to the staff for doing what you do so well!!! And once again Thank You George for giving us a playground!!

We got 2 days in again this past weekend - woohoo!! We didn't get any rain BUT it was definitely chilly Saturday!! On Friday when they went to drag the track with the tractor, one of the front tires went flat and had to be changed because it wouldn't take any air - then on Saturday the other front tire had to be fixed!! So we had a late start both days but it all worked out!! Friday night Larry Carasea brought out his newly rebuilt Corvette and first time down the track Bill Cutting was in the other lane with his beauty - however Larry's didn't want to go straight down the track...was a scary few seconds but Larry kept it off the wall and in his lane - whew!! Saturday Lee Mills discovered he had a broken axle the first time he took his car down the track...kinda scary to watch! He was able to limp it off the track and into the trailer....two instances of excellent drivers controlling their cars in difficult situations!!!! Saturday we had some new drivers and a couple returnees - Jim Erecitano was back for his second race after a long absence - he drove Glenna Erecitano's car in both Street and Pro and took the Win in Pro over Tim LaRose - it was Tim's second appearance this season as well!!!! Sweeet!!!! We had only ONE perfect light and it was one of our Rookies Austin Nichols in Street!!! Near perfect lights - in Pro - Tim LaRose .5009, Bruce Rowan .5011, Corey Burns .5017, Casey Clymer .5031 and Joe Rodriquez .5060 - in Super Pro George Coleman .5041 and Jim Potenziano .5048!!!!! Congrats all!!!

Happy Labor Day Skyview Drivers and Fans!!!! Margo here with my 2cents blog for the weekend August 31 & September 1!!!! THANK YOU to ALL that came up the mountain to play - Thank you George for letting us play - and Thank you to our staff for keeping the playground running!!! (September already--NOOOO!) I am sure some of you parents are happy to have the kids go back to school but I see it as just that much closer to the COLD stuff!!! As hot as it has been AND oh so damn rainy - I would gladly deal with more of the same to not have to worry about pipes freezing or trying to get out of the driveway!! JMO!

So Friday Test & Tune was a bust - I apologize again for the late notice on canceling but we were hoping we could sneak one in without Mother Nature noticing but that did not work out for us!! Even though it looked like it was going to rain all day Saturday - we stayed dry!!! The cloud cover kept it cooler which was good - the humidity was very high! Wow - I just realized I have spent a lot of time talking about the weather this whole season!! LOL! Anyways - we got the Street Boss Showdown done and Tim Wright was the "Boss" Winner and also won a gift courtesy of Mike Dunkle's Customs and Repairs for the best total package of the day - Tyler Spialek won a Rock Auto gift cert for best reaction time on the 1st round of eliminations and Tyler made it to the Semis!!! Tim Wright also had the only near perfect light of .5078!!! Not a bad day for Tim and Tyler!!! Tony Ferrigno was having a good day as well - he made it into the Semis in Street Boss - was Runner Up in Street Money - Semis in Pro AND was the co-driver with his son Anthony in TCR!!! He Told me he had to get his Race Fix on to make up for the weeks he missed and will miss in the upcoming weeks - if all that didn't do it, I don't know what would!!! Lee Mills was walking around with a big grin - he said he had the best 660 he has had this season - his car really likes the tr**ny he got from Russ Story!!! Aaron Brown had a problem with the coil wire dropping out in the time trials but was able to get it fixed with help from other drivers and staff so he was able to keep racing! George Coleman needed a jump start at one point and once again another driver lent a hand! That's one of the best things about our Drivers - even if they are competing against you they are willing to jump in and help whenever you need it!!! Thank goodness Thomas Warren showed up - someone who can operate a camera AND not delete the pics later!!!! Thanks Thomas!!!! Other near perfect lights - in Super Pro - Rick Simon Sr .5080 and George Coleman .5059 - in Pro Class - Kayla Wood .5070!!! TCR had only 2 racers so they ran the best of 5 and Lewis Ink Won over Anthony Ferrigno!!! Great Racing All!!!
