Delayed opening at Playlinda on SUNDAY!

Update: *8/30/2026 7:45 AM: The Playalinda District has open after a successful launch. *

The Playalinda District of Canaveral National Seashore will have a delayed opening on Sunday, August 30, due to the Falcon Heavy rocket launch scheduled for 7:26 AM. NASA roadblocks will be established on the Max Brewer Bridge and the Haulover Canal bridge, Kennedy Parkway. Roadblocks will be lifted after successful launch or scrub.
The Apollo district will open at its regular time of 6:00 AM.

As I’m still recovering I appreciate all the help and prayers it’s been hard very painful and with medical bills and payroll higher than normal anything can help

Hello everyone this is Alan I’m doing fine recovering at home relaxing just wanted to do a post and say hello and thank you to all that have asked about me here is a pic of my knee just now

Tomorrow is the day I have to be at hospital at 8 am for this next chapter in my life
Hopefully surgery # 5 fixes my leg
I’m now 46 years old it’s been a long year

Thank you carlene for being there for me
Specially the first week of school!!
Prayers needed as I’m nervous and scared as hell on this one I’ll be dropped off in morning and going in alone I’ll wake up to her there
No reason to sit for first few hours that way she can finish her class room set up for first day on Tuesday
I’ll be out from hospital Tuesday but more than likely Wednesday possibly Thursday
I’ll do a short live stream in morning

Finally got the all clear for my surgery
Aug 10th they we’ll be cutting all the xtra bone on top and around my knee also they will be removing the metal that’s in there and then straightening my leg out then doing a full knee replacement
Surgery time could be up to 10 hrs I’ll be in hospital up to 2 days
And when I get home first 2 weeks bed ridden max steps a day 200
Minimum 3 months of recovery
With that’s said any help and prayers and this is going to be very scary for me shop will still be open just will not see me Alan the big guy for a while feel free to ask any employees how I’m doing
And carlene will be in charge of day to day operations as she is back in school as a teacher you will see her on weekends though can’t thank her enough for all she does for the shop
