🎬 You just never know where you’ll hear about the legendary Mosquito Lagoon… even on CSI: Miami. 🌅🎣
From tailing redfish in crystal-clear shallows to unforgettable sunrises on the flats, this place has been turning heads for years — on TV and on the water. If you know, you know. 🔥
The Lagoon isn’t just a fishery… it’s a lifestyle.

🎣 Put the phones down and pick the rods up.
Some of the best lessons in life aren’t learned on a screen — they’re learned at sunrise, on the water, making memories one cast at a time. Teach them patience, respect for nature, and the excitement of that first bent rod.
“Teach them to hold a fishing pole before they could hold a phone.” ❤️
Take kids fishing.

After a long day chasing redfish and trout on the Indian River, the work’s not done yet.
Time to get the Spyder cleaned up, rods wiped down, and everything ready for the next sunrise adventure. 🌅🎣
Keeping the boat dialed in with Star brite products and finishing off the reels with Real Magic Reel Spray so everything stays smooth, clean, and saltwater ready. Nothing better than ending a successful day on the water with a clean deck and gear ready to go again tomorrow.

🎣 My go-to inshore setup when the bite is on fire
If you’re fishing the Indian River or any grass flat water, this combo flat-out gets it done:
👉 Cajun Thunder popping cork
👉 D.O.A. Shrimp (4” plastic shrimp)
👉 18–30” fluorocarbon leader
👉 Cast, pop, pause… let the fish find it
That cork calls them in…
That shrimp seals the deal.
Redfish and trout can’t stand it when it “pops” and that shrimp drifts helpless right under the surface.
Simple. Loud. Deadly. 💥

Tarpon time

Summer on the Indian River means one thing… the giants are rolling in.
Tarpon season is officially heating up, and these fish are built different. Explosive topwater eats, drag-screaming runs, and aerial jumps that’ll make your knees shake.
Early mornings, moving tides, rolling fish, and that moment when a 100+ pound silver king erupts beside the boat — there’s nothing else like it on the Space Coast.
Whether you’re chasing your first tarpon or looking to battle another giant, now’s the time to get on the water. Live bait, artificials, bridge lines, channel edges, and laid-up fish in the backwaters… the Indian River comes alive all summer long.
Who’s ready to get jumped by a silver king? 🎣⚡

🎣 Space Coast / Titusville Fishing Report – Today 🎣
The bite is heating up across the northern Indian River Lagoon and Mosquito Lagoon with solid action early morning and late evening. Water clarity has improved in many areas, and bait schools are active along grass flats, mangroves, and drop-offs. Redfish, trout, snook, jacks, and even juvenile tarpon are all in the mix right now.
🔥 Best Bite Today
Redfish — cruising shallow flats and shorelines on higher water
Speckled Trout — aggressive early over grass flats
Snook — active around mangroves, docks, and deeper edges
Jacks — exploding on bait schools
Black Drum — scattered around deeper potholes and by the bridges
🎣 Top Artificial Lures
Rapala Skitter Walk (bone or mullet color) — topwater bite at sunrise has been strong for trout and reds
DOA Shrimp under a popping cork
3–4” paddle tails in white, root beer, or electric chicken
Gulp Mullet on light jigheads
Soft jerkbaits worked slowly around mangroves
🦐 Best Live Baits
Live shrimp under popping corks
Finger mullet freelined along mangroves
Pinfish near docks and drop-offs
Cut mullet for oversized reds and drum
📍 Where Fish Are Holding
Wind-protected shorelines
Current seams near spoil islands
Grass flats in 2–4 ft
Mangrove points during moving tide
Deeper troughs mid-day
🌊 Today’s Pattern Topwater early → soft plastics mid-morning → live bait once the sun gets high.
🚨 Hot Tip If mullet start showering or pushing wakes, throw the topwater immediately — explosive strikes have been happening fast this week.

🎣🌊 More Than Just Fishing — It’s the Full Inshore Experience 🌊🎣
Whether it’s your first redfish or your hundredth snook, every trip out here is about more than catching fish. It’s learning the water, understanding the tides, spotting wildlife, sharing laughs, and making memories that last way longer than the photos.
On my charters, I love teaching clients why fish move, how conditions change the bite, and the techniques that make inshore fishing so addictive. From reading grass flats and mangroves to working live bait and artificial lures, every trip turns into a hands-on experience — while still keeping it laid back and fun.
And yes… sometimes the best moments are the unexpected ones 😂
Lost fish, wild casts, dolphins showing up, someone almost falling overboard… that’s all part of what makes these trips unforgettable.
If you’ve ever wanted to experience the beauty of the Indian River Lagoon and Florida’s inshore waters while learning real fishing techniques and having a blast doing it, come jump on the boat.
