💔 Our hearts are with everyone affected by the violence that occurred following the OWE Festival parade.

What should have been a day filled with community pride, families, children, and celebration was overshadowed by a senseless act of violence. Learning that innocent people were shot at an event attended by so many families, including elderly community members, is deeply disturbing.

As members of the West Toledo Hawks family, we are saddened and frustrated. Events like parades and festivals are supposed to be safe spaces where our children can create memories, laugh, and enjoy being part of their community. No parent, grandparent, child, or attendee should have to worry about gun violence at a family event.

We have to do better.

Our youth deserve positive examples, safer communities, and opportunities to gather without fear. The violence we continue to see is affecting everyone, from our youngest children to our oldest residents.

We are praying for the recovery of those who were injured and for healing throughout our community. Let this be a moment that brings us together to demand better, support one another, and work toward a safer future for all.

A special recognition goes to Madi 💕 the first athlete in our program’s history to successfully dual cheer on two teams. This accomplishment is about so much more than being on two rosters, it reflects an incredible level of dedication, discipline and commitment.

As the youngest member of our Senior team, Code Blue, she has stepped into a challenging environment and continues to rise to the occasion. Balancing the demands, practices, expectations, and responsibilities of two teams takes exceptional work ethic and determination, and she does it with grace.

We are so proud of her willingness to push herself, embrace challenges, and set a new standard within our program. Her hard work does not go unnoticed, and she is proving that age is no limitation when passion and perseverance lead the way.

Congratulations on making program history!! We can’t wait to see all that you continue to accomplish! 💙📣🏆

Watching your journey over the last 5 years has been such a proud moment for me. From dance practices to cheer routines, I’ve had the opportunity to mold you and watch you grow not only as an athlete, but as a hardworking, determined, and confident young woman. Your dedication, resilience, and passion have always stood out, and this accomplishment is so well deserved. 💙

We want to take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate Coach Stacey for everything she brings to Blue Attack. 💙

Her patience, calm demeanor and welcoming energy are exactly what our athletes need. She creates an environment where the girls feel comfortable, encouraged and genuinely excited to come to practice and work with her each week.

Coach Stacey consistently goes above and beyond for this team. From creating “The Nest”… a thoughtful space filled with essentials for athletes to take and keep when needed to the everyday care and encouragement she pours into the girls, her impact will reach far beyond cheer.

She is compassionate, dependable and a true example of what it means to lead with both heart and purpose. Blue Attack is incredibly fortunate to have a coach who not only develops athletes, but also makes them feel seen, supported and valued.
