ARCHERY indoor fun and excitement is now available for girls, boys, women and men, at AJ Archery’s 11 shooting lanes, right in downtown Toledo. Beginners, ages 3 to 103, can learn to shoot a bow, and experts can fine-tune their form. Experienced archers can practice alone or benefit from Coach AJ’s exceptional archery improvement techniques. Kids archery parties are an exciting and safe way to create a memorable birthday experience. Bows, arrows and instruction provided as needed, or you can bring your own archery tackle. Archery is also a great date-night experience for all couples and a wonderful get together for friends and business associates. How safe is archery? The first three rules of archery you will learn from Coach AJ are 1. SAFETY, 2. SAFETY, 3. SAFETY. Rule number 4 is FUN, but you can’t have fun without being safe. At AJ Archery, we follow the standard rules and range etiquette that have made archery one of the safest sports in the world. How to get started in archery:
Begin archery the right way, and the safest way, guided by an experienced and certified archery coach. Getting started this way will prevent you from forming bad archery form. Become a Certified Archery Instructor:

It's been pretty busy at AJ Archery. A student had his first "robinhood" arrow and it landed in the 10 ring on the target! Coach AJ taught Girl Scouts, family groups and another at capacity Date Night. Not to mention the regular private and weekly group lessons. So many fun times on the range. At the end of March Coach AJ and 2 barebow recurve students competed at the Vegas Shoot. Coach's second time. An awesome experience. Student Tournaments are also back in 2026. A couple morning group classes have been added for the Summer. Contact Coach AJ for details.

In February 2026, 14 AJ Archery Barebow Recurve students and Coach AJ competed in the US National Indoor Tournament in Mason, Michigan. All had a fun time. Thanks and congrats to the judges and tournament staff and their teams for a well-run event!!

In January 2026 Girl Scout Troop #6382 traveled from the Columbus, Ohio area to AJ Archery in Toledo. The Cadettes completed their Archery Badge. What a fun learning experience!

It's December at AJ Archery in Toledo and Coach AJ has hung up the targets - Christmas Ornaments! Yay! A challenge for barebow recurve students? Maybe? Yeah, no, maybe just a challenge. Several students took home the "targets" that they hit.

You can tell it is November at AJ Archery. Coach AJ has put up the turkey targets. Along with some squirrel and 10-ring targets. Couldn't find any rabbit targets to hang up. Those will now be ordered. Wait for some "surprise" targets in December.
