The St. James Club Summer Swim 🏊‍♀️team celebrated another successful season last night with an awards banquet, held at the outdoor pool.💦

The swimmers 🏊‍♂️ and their families joined their coaches for a pizza 🍕 dinner, an awards ceremony and what else - some fun swim 💦 time❣️

After the awards 🏆were given, swimmers pushed their coaches (in their dress clothes) into the pool. 💦 This is a yearly tradition and sparked endless laughter from the swimmers. 😀

Head Coach Jenna Winslow said she loved seeing the friendships that were formed, ❤️personal achievements earned and growth among all of the swimmers.🤗”The swimmers worked hard and had fun!” she said.

Club Owner Brian Gomez thanked the coaches, parent volunteers, Parent Rep Lauren Borer, General Manager Cortney Smith and Maintenance Coordinator Barry Woerner for all of their help this summer.🙌🏼

👍Way to go, Dolphins!🐬Our summer swimmers 🏊‍♀️raced hard and posted some fast times and personal bests at today’s league championship meet. 💯

We couldn’t be prouder of their effort, determination, and sportsmanship❣️

The St. James Club Dolphins 🐬 were among 530 swimmers from seven teams at the Ohio Michigan Summer Swim League championships, held at Green Hills Pool in Lambertville, Michigan.📍

Head Coach Jenna Winslow said she is impressed with her swimmers. “It was a long day but our swimmers did great!” she said. “We had a lot of personal bests and heat winners.”🥉

The coach said the swimmers have improved so much from meet to meet and it was fun to see how well they competed at champs .

Today’s meet officially ends the season for the Dolphins. On Tuesday night, the swimmers will celebrate with an awards ceremony at the club.🥇

Best of luck 🍀 to our summer swim team 🏊‍♀️at championships, set for this Saturday (7/25) at Green Hills in Temperance, Michigan❣️

We also want to give a shout-out to our coaches for a fantastic season. 🙌🏼The coaches are (left to right) , Leah Winslow, Jenna Winslow (head coach), Aiden Carroll, Evan Carroll, Hailey Gomez and McKenna Gaertner. 💯

These young men and women were not only incredible coaches, but also excellent role models for our swimmers. 🏊‍♀️

A huge THANK YOU also goes to our Parent Rep Lauren Borer, all of the parent timers and volunteers and to Amy and Joe Carroll for their endless support and help running the home meets.😎

Finally, thanks to General Manager Cortney Smith and Maintenance Coordinator Barry Woerner for their tireless work setting up the meets.🤗 We also appreciate our lifeguards for helping the beginner swimmers compete safely. 🛟

We will reassess the situation tomorrow (7/18). If the hazardous conditions improve, we will open.
