Great first practice of the summer 🎾🐾☀️

Our girls really showed out and represented Scott HS well at the Ohio state sectional tournament today. Congrats on an incredible season ladies!!! 🐾🎾💪

Congrats to our new players Alexis Thompson, Sakyiah Porshia & Lakya Layson! All three girls won in their first ever varsity matches today!!!

Our varsity tennis team is looking for around 5 more girls for the upcoming season. Anyone going to Scott or living in the Scott HS district can play and no experience is necessary. Feel free to send a message to this page or comment on this post if you know someone who is interested. Interested ladies may also just come to our next practice this Thursday 7/25 at the Ottawa Park tennis courts (by the outdoor ice rink) 9:30-11:30am. We look forward to competing for another Toledo City League Championship this season!!!

Congrats to Desi Oshodin on being named Scott High School's Fall Athlete of the Year!!!

Coach Clark says that Desi is the "heart and soul of the Scott HS tennis program and the best player I've ever coached." She recently finished second overall at the Toledo City League Tournament and earned first team All-City honors. Over her 4 years on the squad Desi recorded more wins than any player in Scott history. The highlight of Desi's career was when she captained Scott to our first ever City League championship in 2017. She is not only a killer on the court but a monster in the classroom. Despite taking some of the most rigorous honors and AP courses that TPS has to offer, Desi has earned a 3.8 cumulative GPA.

Incredible match by our ladies tonight against a good Waite team. Desi improved to 6-1 on the season while MyAsia, NaShay and Taionni all won their first varsity matches!!! Congrats to Coach Clark and the girls!

Great first match of the season @ Fostoria High School this morning. Desi Oshodin won at first singles (7-5, 6-0) while Paris Williams and MyAsia Thomas both lost but looked impressive in their Varsity debuts!!! Our doubles pairing of Taioni Smith & NaShay Bradford lost to an incredible Fostoria team but hit some really good shots and looked like they will cause some real problems in the City League this season!

Introducing your 2018 SHS Varsity Tennis Squad!!! Our first match is this Monday @ Fostoria HS.

Congratulations to our 8 incredible seniors on their graduation yesterday. We are going to miss them like crazy next season but let's first acknowledge all that they accomplished this school year.

- They were the first Scott High School girls tennis team to win the Toledo City League Championship.
- Tayiana King won the Toledo City League singles championship and was named player of the year.
- Ramona Stephenson was the Scott HS valedictorian while Tiara Jones served as salutatorian.
- Our 8 seniors earned over $735,000 in scholarships including four full-rides to the Ohio State University. Ramona, Tiana, Tiara, and Terriana will all be starting there in the fall.
- Others will be attending Eastern Michigan and the University of Toledo.
