Our instructors utilize core principles from the American Ballet Theater National Training Curriculum, focusing on kinetics, coordination, anatomy, and proper body alignment. We are saddened by the passing of Gloria Steinem, a trailblazing voice for equality and a lifelong advocate for womenโ€™s rights.

Her connection to Toledo and the arts is part of our communityโ€™s history, and we are honored to share this photograph from The Blade, capturing Gloria in 1950 alongside friends during a Toledo Ballet production of The Nutcracker.

Her courage, compassion and commitment to creating a more equitable world continue to inspire generations.

We extend our deepest condolences to all who knew and loved her. Her legacy lives on.

The Toledo Ballet Winter Works Choreographic Competition invites emerging choreographers to create an original work on our 10 professional company dancers and premiere it with the opportunity for live accompaniment from the Toledo Symphony and Toledo Jazz Orchestra.

Selected choreographers will receive a January 2027 creative residency, travel and lodging accommodations, dedicated studio access, and the opportunity to present a fully produced world premiere performance of their work with the opportunity for accompanied by live musicians of the Toledo Symphony on February 13, 2027.

Plus, one lucky winner will be selected to win the Artistic Choice Award and will receive a $500 prize.
