Jealousy is not a failing.
And experiencing jealousy does not mean you are doing polyamory wrong.
Jealousy can sometimes point toward something underneath the emotion.
Fear of losing connection.
A need for reassurance.
Comparison.
Feeling left out.

An agreement that needs to be revisited.
An old attachment wound.

Instead of immediately asking, “How do I make this feeling disappear?” try asking:
“What might this feeling be trying to tell me?”

The goal is not to become a person who never experiences jealousy.
The goal is to become more curious about yourself when it appears.

Share this to your Story to remind someone that experiencing jealousy doesn’t mean they’re doing relationships wrong.

It's okay to love someone and still have boundaries. Sometimes that means we can't speak or see them, but caring for yourself comes first. Remember this.

Sometimes we think we have communicated something when we have actually communicated a hint.

“I wish we spent more time together.”
“They should know I need help.”
“If they cared, they would notice.”

The problem is that another person cannot reliably respond to a need they do not know exists.

Direct communication can feel vulnerable because it gives the other person the opportunity to say yes, no, or not right now.

But it also gives both people something real to work with.

Instead of hoping someone will read your mind, try:

“I have been feeling disconnected lately. Could we plan some intentional time together this week?”

Clear does not have to mean harsh.

It can simply mean honest.

Let’s talk! What’s one thing you’re learning to communicate more directly in your relationships?

If boundaries feel painful, it doesn't mean you are broken. It means your old fears are meeting present-day reality. Instead of avoiding the hurt, get curious about the story you are telling yourself. True connection requires the courage to be honest about where you stand. Need support navigating this? There is no expiration date on understanding yourself more deeply.

Coming out later in life can bring relief, excitement, grief, fear, freedom, and questions all at the same time.

You may find yourself looking back and wondering why you did not understand something sooner.

You may worry about disappointing people.
You may wonder what changes now.

But discovering something important about yourself does not mean the years before were wasted.

Sometimes we simply did not have the language, safety, awareness, or permission we needed yet.

Your timeline does not make your truth less real.

You are allowed to understand yourself differently today than you did ten or twenty years ago.

Share this to your Story. Someone in your circle may need the reminder that it’s never too late to discover who they are.

🎃 With Halloween approaching, I've been reconsidering what REALLY scares me.

Not the ghosts, goblins, or things that go bump in the night. 👻

I'm talking about the fears that keep us awake, hold us back, and convince us to stay right where we are—even when we know something needs to change.

The fear of being wrong. Of being rejected. Of letting go of what we've always believed. Or worse… discovering that we have more choices than we thought!

What are you afraid to look at? And what might become possible if you did?

I'd love to hear what comes up for you.

Love isn't always loud; it's in the quiet actions, even those that don't seem outwardly affectionate. Sometimes, actions that appear distant stem from self-love. When doubts arise about love, consider if it's a problem or a continuous grieving process. Holding onto love for someone absent while moving forward is a complex human experience.
