Supta Garudasana (Reclined Eagle ๐ฆ
Pose ๐ง๐ปโโ๏ธ)
Benefits: boost the energy level and release the day's stress and tension that may impact the body, especially the joints.
Chakras: Root and Sacral
Feeling so much gratitude for my body, that sheโs still here and can do these poses on a floating paddleboard ๐ after all sheโs been through. I feel humbled and in awe of the strength I can have after having to had start over so many times in my practice. Itโs not perfect, it is shaky and very challenging at times. Some days itโs more about just finding balance (and not falling in ๐ ๐ฆ) I can not do some of the poses I used to do so easily or at all, but Iโm learning to love her where she is at and just to find the peace and mindbody connection. Just like after each surgery lying on the mat for the first time and not even recognizing your body. You just take it day by day until it heals and eventually you feel like you again.
There is something so serene about savasana at the end of SUP yoga practice, just feeling the board supporting you while the waves ๐ take you where they want to and just surrendering to the water and letting goโฆ feeling fully supported, anchored, whole.
Iโm feeling grateful for finding this beautiful group of women and for the energy, peace โฎ๏ธ, and beauty of nature all around us ๐
as we share in this experience. Such a peaceful time of night.
And to Maura Fields (photo credits ๐ธ) who started it all and always welcomes me with open arms ๐ค Thank you ๐ from the bottom of my heart ๐ซถ.
