Ken-Ton Misfits Rugby—where we fit in!

Island of Misfit 10 Rules

Men's Division:
This a 7 Team double Elimination Tournament
How does the 7 team double elimination bracket work?
In a 7-team double-elimination tournament, participants have two lives, so to speak.
If a team loses a match, they're not immediately out; they move to a "loser's bracket."
A second loss eliminates them from the tournament.

•Games will be 10 min halves and 2 min HT.

•There will be no kicking for points

• Tries are worth 1 point

•Rolling subs will be allowed, but players must wait until stoppage of play before subbing in/out.

•Pool games tied at full-time will end at the next stoppage.

•Championship round matches that are tied at full-time will seamlessly enter a sudden victory period.

•Men's Division Rule: In the event that a team in the tournament remains undefeated but loses in the final match, a 5-minute break will be taken. Subsequently, the two teams involved will engage in an additional full match for 1st place. The winner of this second match will be declared the tournament champion. No new players can be added to the teams after the first match; only players from the initial match are eligible to compete in the final rematch.

Women's Division:
We will attempt to organize matches after determining the number of available players.

These rules are subject to change by the tournament organizers.
