Alta Vista, Douglass, Fort Scott, Grainfield, La Crosse, and Leavenworth have all completed their Safe Routes to School Plans!

Over the past school year, these communities developed their first Safe Routes to School Plans as part of KDOT’s Planning and Programming grant opportunity. The plans outline policy, programming, and project recommendations to make walking, biking, and rolling to school safer and more enjoyable for students and families. Thank you to everyone who contributed — we’re excited to see these plans put into action!
