I cannot believe how much help we have gotten at The Skyline Scramble every year. 2026 was a huge success because of all of our volunteers, from those who helped behind the scenes, or on race day; The small things to the big things. You know who you are, and we THANK YOU! for the support you give to this event. We definitely have one of the best running communities. All those who had a part in helping; Barry Thomas, Dan Lister, Joe Mitchell, Matthias Moore, Brandon Walker, Gwendolyn Walker, Caleb Harvey, Diana Harvey, Norma Weiser, Christopher Brown, Lucas Linden, Terrilee Brown, Mandy Prosser, Julie Kelly, Ruthie Brownlee, GiGi Newhouse, Nola Newhouse, Josh Thompson, Larry Stuart, Tricia Stuart, Jay Mooney, Ayden Mooney, Audry Pulley, Kristen Williams, Jackie Hanzok
Sterling Scales, Ken Carter, Kim Carter, Casey Cross.
Thank you Chase Hammond and Casey Hammond with Ultraverse Supplements for doing a fantastic job with the timing. 👏🏻
Lastly…I personally would not even take on this race without the support of Ed West and Justin M. Newhouse. I cannot thank guys enough for all of your time and dedication to Rocking Chair Running and the Skyline Scramble. 👊🏼

We want to thank our sponsor Josh Kramer owner of Insanely fab LLC. We have used insanity, fab for a lot of different awards and signs. From race awards/metals, to hats bags, and our rocking chair running sign on the new race arch, that looks pretty SWEET! Josh has been great to work with! He can do a lot of different things with big orders and small custom orders; from welding and fabrication, to laser cutting & engraving, metal signage and decor, promotional products, smudge pots and fire pits, and so much more!
Support small local businesses like his the next time you need any of these services 👊🏼

LET'S GOOOOOO!
We can't wait to see you THIS SATURDAY, March 7, for the 2026 Skyline Scramble! And to ensure the best race experience possible for everyone, please read through the event details below.
👇
Packet Pick-up:
Packet pick-up is this FRIDAY, March 6, at Fleet Feet (2130 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS 66614) from 4:30 to 6:30pm, or on race day at Skyline Park from 5:45 to 6:45am. We do have chip timing, so you will get a bib and chip at packet pickup. This means the bib must NOT be folded when attached to the runner.
Race Day:
There is limited parking on-site entering through the gate from the Skyline Parkway entrance. Please park within reason to vehicles next to you to maximize the number of spaces available. Park on the east side (right-hand side as you approach the parking area) of the designated area just past the first orange cone. If you are running the 3HR or 6HR, please let the 12HR runners park closest to the start/finish.
Due to the number of participants in the race, we will stagger the start times.
The 12-hour will start at 7:00am, the 6-hour will start at 7:05, the 3-hour will start at 7:10am, and the 2-Mile Kid's Race will start at 11:30am.
Racer Information:
One loaded aid station is located near the start/finish line and will have a fantastic assortment of food. If anyone has any food allergies, especially nut allergies, please let us know.
Participants can also use a drop bag and/or use a personal vehicle as an aid station, but vehicles must remain on site while the runner is participating.
Course Information:
We have been getting a little rain, so the trail will likely be tacky and a little squishy in a few areas but looking great for race day. The course will be heavily marked with pink flags/ribbons and signs, so it will be very difficult for you to get lost!
The loop measures 2.15 miles and has over 200 feet of elevation per lap. It is considered a single-track, technical trail. See our page for a map of the course.
Drawings & Prizes:
So many drawings and so many prizes! As a Scrambler, you'll have a chance to win numerous SILO bags, Alma Cheese gifts, Ultraverse Supplements, and Top City Half Marathon Race entries. The drawings will take place during the first three hours of the event, and the winners will be notified at the conclusion of their respective race.
Emergency Information:
A first aid kit and general medical supplies will be available at the aid station; however, emergency vehicles and emergency personnel will not be on site. Any runners needing immediate attention should call 911 and get word to the race director at the start/finish line.
