Good morning BMB fans! Today is the day of our Chiefs Tailgate package. The girls are gonna get back in the gym this morning and put in some work. Jo’Mhara Benning of Topeka HS (6A, 6-4) was a second team All-State pick as a pitcher/1B as a junior and has picked right up into her senior season. Benning has played softball since she was four years old and committed to Coppin State to continue her career next year at the D1 level. In her senior season she is hitting .424 with a .472 OBP. Benning said, “The season is still early but at this point, I'm thinking that we should make a good postseason run. We have a lot of young players and we are all still getting used to each other but once we straighten out all of the kinks and get both sides working at the same time, we will be a force to be reckoned with.” She is also an All-State volleyball and basketball player for Topeka as an all around athlete.
