Exciting news! Starting this week, our yoga program at the Topeka Correctional Facility adds another class, thx to the wonderful fellow volunteer instructor Kareem Thomas!

Did you know that every morning yoga is offered at the Crestview Community Center? I’m teaching each Tuesday at 10 am & this morning’s group was wonderful! Thank you to all who came & made me feel so welcomed. No advance registration is required for the classes. It’s a very affordable option!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Starting Tuesday, Sept 5 I’ll be teaching a new class at Topeka’s Crestview Center 10-11 am each week through the end of the year. This will be the only public class I’m teaching in Topeka, but private and small group classes will continue. Namaste!

The Kansas Children's Discovery Center connects incarcerated moms with their kids to build stronger bonds of love & support. This Play Free program is key to so many positive outcomes & today’s visits reminded me just how powerful love really is. Everyone benefits ❤️

You know your spirits are aligned when you both wear identical lipstick pink tops to teach Sunday mornings at The Jayhawk Club. Can I brag just a moment about Tracey Cluthe English?! She runs Bootcamps, private and small group training sessions, teaches several great classes at the Jayhawk Club, is mom to 4 wonderful kids, a wife, daughter, sister and still finds time to volunteer. She has a great big heart & is always quick with a smile. Thanks for twinning with me today!

Baby Yoga: a Discovery Baby workshop @ The Kansas Children's Discovery Center
Bond with your baby and have fun with baby yoga. Wear comfortable clothes and join yoga instructor Kathy Damron for this yoga experience designed just for little yogis. This workshop will be offered on Monday, June 26 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center in Gage Park.

This workshop is offered as a part of Discovery Baby, a free, fun program to introduce babies and their caregivers to a world of learning and play! Parents who attend can meet other parents with babies and chat with experts in a fun, casual setting at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center, when the museum is closed to the general public. The program is open to parents with a child under 12 months old. Only babies and caregivers may attend. No advance registration or sign-up is required.

Today marked our 10th week of yoga for women incarcerated in our community. These women have worked hard to use the practice of yoga to achieve personal goals and deepen their self awareness and self regulation.
Today’s summer solstice was a great day to observe their achievements with cooling fresh fruit, humus and pita following our practice.
