⚠️ IMPORTANT LEAGUE REMINDER – PLEASE READ ⚠️

Trash around the players’ benches has become a serious problem lately. With all respect, it is not fair for me to stay behind every Sunday picking up trash after games.

Please make sure that after your game:
🗑️ All trash is picked up
🗑️ Empty cans, bottles, food, and other trash are thrown away properly

There are 2 trash containers located directly behind the players’ benches, PLEASE USE THEM

⚠️ If this situation does NOT improve, teams will begin losing points in the standings table.
➡️ Teams can receive a 1-point deduction due to trash problems.

⚠️ Also, if a team arrives to their game and sees trash already left on the benches, please let me know immediately so I can take action and avoid misunderstandings.

I also want to remind everyone that during our previous 7v7 seasons, alcohol and ci******es were okay because players were being responsible:
✔️ Beer cans were picked up
✔️ Cigarette buds were not left around the facility
✔️ Everyone respected the field and the complex

Unfortunately, during this 11v11 season, that has NOT been the case.

I received this message from the new manager at Bettis Sports Complex:

“It was also brought to my attention that there has been alcohol and cigarette buds found all over the complex. As a reminder, alcohol and tobacco/smoking products are not permitted on Shawnee County sports complexes. This can result in cancelling all future reservations and being banned from the facilities. Please and thank you.”

Because of this, starting this Sunday:

🚫 NO alcohol on the field
🚫 NO smoking ci******es on the field or other substances

If you choose to drink or smoke:
➡️ Do it outside the fence area or in the parking lot
➡️ Take your empty cans and cigarette buds with you
➡️ DO NOT leave trash at the Bettis facility

⚠️ If referees find beer cans or cigarette buds left behind, and you were seen drinking or smoking — even if the trash was not directly yours — your team can receive:
❌ A 1-point deduction in the standings, no questions ask.

Please help me help you.

I don’t mind people drinking or smoking, but we HAVE to be respectful and responsible. We are trying to continue growing soccer in Topeka, and we cannot risk losing these facilities because of trash and lack of respect.

I know we’re getting close to the end of the season, and we still have some pending games to be played, but I finally had the chance to sit down and count all the goals from every team.

⚽🔥 Dominion Cup Update 🔥⚽

We’ve been having a great season so far, and everything is thanks to the players, fans, and captains who continue supporting the league every week. 🙏

Already 8 weeks in, time really flies. Even though the weather hasn’t allowed us to complete every game each Sunday, we’re still having fun, competing, and keeping the season going strong.

📢 Quick Announcement:
Mother’s Day is around the corner, and since Mother’s Day falls on Sunday, there will be NO games this Sunday, May 10th.

Please take this weekend to spend quality time with your moms and families, because without mothers, none of us would be where we are today. 💐❤️

If you have not completed your full payment, your game will NOT start this Sunday until the remaining balance is taken care of.

⚽ Equipment & Safety Rules (Effective This Sunday)
There has been some miscommunication, so we are making this clear:
❌ NO JEWELRY allowed during matches
This includes:
Necklaces
Earrings
Bracelets
Watches
Any personal items
➡️ If a player is wearing jewelry, it will result in a YELLOW CARD

🛡️ Shinguards REQUIRED
If a player is not wearing shinguards, it will result in a YELLOW CARD
No exceptions

🔄 Substitution Rules (To Keep Game Flow)
To keep the game moving smoothly:

The player coming in must wait at midfield
The player going out can exit from any part of the field
The player entering must wait until the player exiting is close enough to complete the substitution or out of the field
Substitutions must be communicated to the referee (line or center ref)
⚠️ If a substitution is made without informing the referee → YELLOW CARD

The player exiting has 8 seconds to leave the field
⚠️ If this is not respected → YELLOW CARD

📋 Insurance Requirement
The league is now part of a soccer association.
If a player gets injured, they may be asked: If basic rules like proper equipment and jewelry removal rules were followed

⚠️ If these rules are NOT followed, insurance coverage may be denied

A message has been sent to captains and team creators, but I want everyone on the same page:

This Sunday:
💰 All players must be fully paid (inscription)
🪪 Player ID pictures will be taken
📅 IDs will be given out next Sunday

🚫 No Payment = No ID = No Game

⚠️ If payment is not received on Sunday, the Player ID will have a $10 late fee

🚨 IMPORTANT:
This Sunday is your LAST CHANCE, coaches, captains, and players to find or switch teams.
⛔ Once your game starts, NO MORE MOVEMENT will be allowed

Please arrive early to take care of any remaining balance.
Payments accepted: CashApp, Venmo, Apple Pay, or cash/in person

After Easter, ALL teams will be back in action, no one sitting out, everyone playing, full competition every Sunday ⚽💥

From that point on, it’s nonstop. Every team. Every week. Real battles. Real competition.

🚨⚽ BIG ANNOUNCEMENT – IRON XI CUP / NEXT PLAY LEGENDS ⚽🚨

I am proud to announce that the league is now part of the Soccer Association! 🎉

This means we can now offer player, coach, and referee insurance coverage during league activities. This is a big step forward in making the league more organized, professional, and safer for everyone involved.

🛡 Insurance Options (Valid for the entire year):

💰 $20 per year – $5,000 coverage
💰 $25 per year – $25,000 coverage

This means that if we have 3 seasons this year, you will be covered for all 3 seasons with just one payment.

✅ Covered Activities:

Coverage applies to injuries that happen while:
• Participating in official league games
• Playing in sanctioned tournaments
• Attending team practices or tryouts
• Traveling directly to or from a game or practice as part of the team

To participate, a minimum of 11 players per team must be enrolled in the insurance program.

This is another step toward growing soccer in Topeka and improving the league for everyone 💪⚽
