National Recognition from VFW for Post 7957 The Vernon H. Buck Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7957 recently received national recognition for clearing and maintaining the Cottonwood River Trail on the VFW Day of Service.

These events are for local trail advocates of any kind - from city managers to volunteers - who want to create access to trails so their citizens can enjoy the physical, mental, and community benefits from connecting with nature.

The KTC was formed in 1974 by a group interested in building trails in Kansas. KTC members and volunteers have built public access trails around city, county, state and federal parks for hikers, runners, bikers and equestrians. The KTC is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)3 organization which is supported by memberships and donations from trail supporters who love trails as we do.
