Sometimes people ask me, ‘why do we have to develop our, ‘Body sense’ using no touch/sight /wiggling around on the floor? Why not just lie down on the roller and , ‘do what hurts so good?’

Body Sense
Body Sense is my layman’s way to describe internal sensory reception. Remember, your Autopilot functions like a GPS system. The sensory receptors found in large numbers in and around your joints are like satellites your Autopilot is sending and receiving info to and from. Body Sense can be considered the sensory reception system linking the satellites to ground control. This involuntary reception system works without your conscious awareness. But, we can learn to use Body Sense and catch pre-pain signals and common imbalances without using your common senses, like touch, movement, or vision. The MELT Assessments like the Rest Assess and Standing Body Scan helps us attune Body Sense.
When we reassess using Body Sense, if we consciously notice changes, this is a link to helping the Autopilot regain the EZ Zone. Our few moments to reconnect to this sense of balance helps reset the Autopilots overall efficiency. This can have far reaching effect. Body Sense helps you get in your body which is the first step of getting out of pain. Using body sense is a part of any reconnect or rebalance technique.
