Kansas Chaos mission statement - Scrimmage hard, then scrimmage harder. Our aim is to practice twice a week as a group to further the love and skills of roller derby and to scrimmage. We will play by the WFTDA rule set with some in-house rules set forth before any scrimmages. We use USARS insurance. We will invite junior players to play in th
e club based on skill level and attitude. We are building a base for a once a month open scrimmage that will be held at Sk8away. All practices are $5 a person. Finer Points
1. Chaos is a scrimmage club - MSTs should be passed for the advanced play / practices.
2. Practices will be held twice a week, once on a Sunday and one-week day -Tina Robertson will post the schedule to the best of her ability 2 weeks out.
3. All genders can join.
4. Since Chaos is a scrimmage club for intermediate and advanced skaters, we encourage new adult skaters to join the Capital City Crushers and new junior players to join the Chick Whips as those teams both support and teach roller derby.
5. Juniors will be invited based on skill level (ages 14 and up per USARS).
6. Chaos plays by the WFTDA rule set.
7. All skaters must have USARs insurance.
8. Practices are $5 per session.
9. All members including refs are required to run 1 practice (schedule to be posted out ahead of time). Practices involve Warmup / Game Play / Rules / Skills / Cool Down.
10. Newcomers can attend 4 practices without USARs insurance but must sign a waiver.
11. Be ready to be awesome. The founding members will ask you to leave if you cause undue stress or hardship on the group. Leave your personal issues and trash talk at home. We expect all players to come out and have a good time. Respect those running practices. If there are issues please bring them to Karmah or Reaver - we will help to mediate until a solution can be found.
