Congratulations to our very own Kumu Hula Josh Kamuela Chang for being selected to represent Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month as a Disney Cast Member at Disneyland these past several weeks.
For over a year, Kumu Josh has been part of the Disneyland Resort Shows and Atmosphere Entertainment team, sharing the spirit of aloha and the beauty of Hawaiian culture with guests visiting from around the world. Through music, dance, storytelling, and cultural connection, he has helped bring meaningful Pacific Islander representation and Disney magic to life each day at the Paradise Garden Bandstand.
Accompanied by beloved Disney characters and fellow performers, Kumu Josh has helped create unforgettable moments filled with joy, laughter, and cultural celebration for thousands of guests throughout the resort.
Be sure to catch his final performance this Sunday at 1:30 PM at the Paradise Garden Bandstand before he returns backstage to continue supporting the magic in a different role.
We are incredibly proud to see Hawaiian culture and Pacific Islander representation celebrated in such a special way on one of the world’s most iconic stages. Holomua!
