Hello, Torrance Aikido Club members ! Please come to join the Ki Class !

The second Ki Class in 2020 will be held on March 9th (Monday) at 7 pm, instructed by Clarence Chinn Sensei, 7th dan (Nanadan), Chief instructor of Southern CA Ki Society.

Ki Class is not only focused on techniques, strength or weakness but focuses more on learning how to coordinate our mind and body. The ultimate purpose of our study is to unify the mind and body and become one with the Universe. The Ki Classes help us moving forward to the goal.

Torrance Aikido Club Christmas Party in 2019!!

Happy Holidays!! Torrance Aikido Club members and their families came together at El Polo Inka restaurant in Torrance on December 13. The members enjoyed conversations while listening live music with delicious Peruvian meals and drinks!

Also we celebrate Chin sensei’s birthday. We thank his dedication for teaching us Aikido and its spirit, and wish his health and longevity. Happy Birthday Chinn sensei!!

Torrance Aikido Club Summer Party 2019 ! 08/25/2019

On August 17th, Torrance Aikido Club members and their families came together for this year's summer potluck party. Our president, Juan, kindly let us use the backyard of his house to host the event. We chatted, enjoyed a variety of foods, and drank delicious craft beers under nice shade of trees in sunny summer day. “Ki Society 2019 USA National Seminar” in Las Vegas 07/21/2019

"Ki Society 2019 USA National Seminar" was held in June 27 – 30th at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) in Las Vegas. The seminar was set up with 350 tatami mats at the beutiful facility (UNLV Recriation and Wellness Center) at the campus. The attendees were about 140 people and not only from the US, but also from Britain, Russia, Australia, Brazil and Japan. [ 96 more words ]

Torrance Aikido Club brought in the New Year with our Kagami Biraki ceremony on January 7th. Chinn sensei, chief instructor of Southern California Ki Society, blessed the dojo, then leaded the students for Misogi bell chanting. After the class, members enjoyed the new year with sushi, rice cake, tea, and other goodies. Happy new year for Torrance Aikido Club!
