Who here still hunts with a Wi******er 94?
This is an old one in .30-30. It doesn't see much range time nowadays, but it still needs to be shot from time to time.

I kinda wish lever actions had an application in more competitions. They may not be tack-drivers like some bolt actions, but they're just too darn much fun to pass up.

What's the furthest you've carried an 85 High Wall or 74 Sharps on a hunt?
It's a heck of a weight to go trekking with.

What is the most desolate, far-removed shooting spot you've been to?
I have a spot in the desert so far off the beaten path that I've never actually run into another person there after many range days. It also doesn't have cell service, but sometimes that's a good thing.

A brass-ended scope on a wood gun nicely mirrors the colors of the desert.
It's also fun to shoot, but that's another story entirely.

Shooting in the desert is sometimes best done at night - it's cooler, if nothing else.
But sometimes we get carried away with flashlights, and stuff like this happens.

The Henry Golden Boy is a nicely shiny rifle. Not always the most subtle rifle on the rack, but certainly a joy to shoot.

Love the puff of smoke that comes out after a good .45-70 shot. Good ol' lead sent down range with a hefty weight of powder.
