We know it’s been a little while since we’ve posted, but we wanted to share an update and get this page active again!
We did it! In our very first year as team owners, with a first-year driver and first-year mechanic, we WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP! What an incredible season it was.
A huge thank you to our home track, G&J, for allowing us to come out whenever we needed seat time and practice throughout the season. We’re also extremely grateful to Ray Mckibben and Craig Bogan for being two of the few people willing to take a chance on us and help us grow our knowledge and experience across different karts. That support meant everything.
This journey has truly been a blessing. We didn’t come from a racing family and had very little experience in karting. Kyler’s background was mostly racing video games and getting on the sim around 2022, with only a handful of rental kart sessions before this. To go from that… to owning our own race team and winning a championship in our very first year is honestly unreal.
There were plenty of ups and downs, but in the end, we came out on top as the FIRST ever AEKL X-4 Heavy Class Champion. That’s a moment we’ll never forget.
We also want to give a huge thank you to our main sponsor last season, Alyssa Smith, for believing in us and helping make this goal possible.
We’ve officially kicked off our 2026 season in Miami, and it was an awesome experience. Kyler was gifted a front brake upgrade kit from Blue Shock Race, allowing us to compete this season in the X-5 class with a 44hp machine now equipped with front brakes. Miami was Kyler’s first time ever driving a kart with front brakes, so it was a big learning experience. We didn’t finish where we wanted to, but we’re coming back stronger and more determined for the rest of the season.
Next up: Whiteland Raceway Park in Indianapolis. We’re excited and ready to get back to work!
