Scott Rystrom Quarter Horses & Rystrom Stallion & Broodmare Management will be accepting interns for the 2027 season. Must be dependable and hard working, open to learning and be coachable. We promise to never ask you to do anything we haven't done - there will be mundane work, but if you're too good to clean a stall, you're too good to ride as well.
We are an incredibly hard working team focused on bringing out the best in our horses and our people. There is a full training barn with 2 full time trainers that excels in western pleasure and all around events with a few ranch horses and maybe a reiner or two mixed in. Showing is our focus but there is also yearling sale prep and starting 2 year olds involved.
The breeding barn manages 100+ mares each year and stands 2 stallions full time. Foaling, neonate care, stallion management, tracking mares and dealing with difficult breeders is our specialty. We also handle weanlings and halter break foals - every time we touch them, from birth to handing them over to new owners or to the training barn, we are focused on their future careers.
