THE MLK JR. UNITY HARDWOOD CLASSIC | TEAM PROFILE: HEWITT TRUSSVILLE HUSKIES
We are excited to welcome the Hewitt Trussville Huskies to the MLK Jr. Unity Hardwood Classic on January 16th at the historic Glen Clem Gymnasium on the campus of Bevill State Community College!
A Class 6A program coming off an 18–12 season, Hewitt Trussville enters the Classic with a combination of experience, leadership, and emerging young talent.
KEY PLAYER TO WATCH | DALTON BLACK #10
The Huskies will look to Dalton Black to provide leadership and production on the floor as one of the players to watch in this year's Classic.
HEAD COACH | JEREMY MONCEAUX
Coach Monceaux will lead a Huskies program that enters the season with significant experience returning from last year's team. Coach Monceaux has an impressive 216-132 overall record.
SEASON OUTLOOK
With 7 seniors returning, including 5 players who saw significant playing time last season, the Huskies will lean heavily on veteran leadership as they compete in the highly competitive Class 6A Area 6.
While experience will be a major strength, Hewitt Trussville will also have plenty of youth on the floor. A junior, freshman, and 8th grader are all expected to play significant minutes this season.
